That means you have to buy a new piece and farm out all the soul ash again for a problem they’ve created.

This is fine, according to blizzards internal research players were running torghast all the time, thus the player base loves torghast and won’t mind grinding several thousand more ash.

Every day I’m more and more glad I decided to not play Shadowlands. Feels like dodging a bullet.
I won’t be recrafting legos, but I will likely make more so I can switch based on what I am doing.
It’s so dumb they we can create an unlimited amount of the same “legendary”. Like yeah this feels super unique when I have 3 of the same one with slightly different stats on them lol.
This system blows

Blizzard removes tier sets because they force raiding to be competitive, they have to balance under the assumption players have the sets and sets lock item slots.
GD spends several years asking for tier sets back.
Blizzard starts introducing tier sets back.
GD complains about tier sets forcing raiding, about not getting invites if they don’t have sets and set items locking certain item slots.
It has happened, this is the matrix.

Not sure why we haven’t been given the ability to scrap an old Lego for at least the ash. The loss of the missive and item is cost enough of the change.

Player time investment shouldn’t be punished.
That’s why I’m laughing. Blizzard is punishing players for decisions Blizzard has made.
And this such an easy fix, just add a reforge option. Then like when you upgrade an existing legendary, you select the one you want to use, select the new “slot” piece and hit reforge. They can even allow for you to change the secondary stats while doing it. Toss in a modest soul ash price and problem solved.
This just shows they clearly didn’t have a “road map” for SLs, otherwise they would have avoided this issue from the start.
BlizZard is the one introducing a new system when they said they wouldn’t do it. So it is up to them to fix it.
