The crazy part is retail is trash and its already a ghost town but they act like they’re blind and can’t see it. How they keep churning out dog water expansions is unreal. Who are these people spending enough money in the cash shops to keep god awful expansions floating?
That is a nice fairy tale reality you live in but here on earth we usually prefer facts.
FACT: I do not play world of warcraft but I respect your opinion. If you can imagine me playing along side you then good for you!
The world around me is great! It would be better with a decent version of wow to play but it is what it is. My life doesn’t revolve around wow but I do like to dabble in the forums. Some of the logic displayed on these forums is fascinating.
Blizzards current approach to the Classic Player base is going to lead to a decline in overall membership. The average age of a World of Warcraft Player is 31 years and roughly 1/3 of subscribers play classic era and SOM. There silence on the next SOM or Classic + is just the latest of many blunders when dealing with a very sizeable chunk of their player base.
Oh I completely agree they are blundering.
Era is fun for what it is, but I that it can become stale and you need regular fresh servers for some variety. I’ve always thought seasons should role fairly quickly into another season, so I’m annoyed they haven’t announced anything.
Logic is cool but have you felt, emotions?
If you expect alot of people that u give money too. You should never have played SOM or anything blizzard in the last 14 years.
You expect an announcement on something that you and many players feel entitled too SOM season 2 or fresh classic servers.
This is a you problem not a blizzard problem. But i wont say good luck or goodbye because youll be back when/if they announce what you think you are entitled too.
I expected a fun fresh server from Season of Mastery. It was delivered, though with some issues, but I had a blast during the first season.
As I mentioned I have stuck around to see if they were REALLY going to make changes. My hope was rewarded with the same of the same.
If you would like to say that it is a “me” problem, that is fine. I shouldn’t trust companies, but I like to hope due to many of the reasons I listed out prior. I will be looking elsewhere. I barely have the time as it is now being older with a career and family, and I simply need to find something that will respect both my time and money. As you said this is based on MY feelings and that is all this post was about.
But either way, I wish you the best and hope you find the best of entertainment in Blizzard games going forward. I think they are still going to be a good fit for many as Classic Vanilla is very niche. I have had some of my best years playing Blizzard games in the past and want nothing but the same for those going forward.
Do you expect that from the gas station execs?
Or your internet company?
How about your electric service?
As soon as you realize that these corps truly (and i mean this) do not care about anything concerning your wants, the better it will be for you.
I mean this in the compassionate, empathic way i can.
Are you still subbed though?
Because that’s all they care about.
not from execs but i expect proper communication and products. i am provided with the gas i paid for, and the cashiers i used communicate everything that is asked. if the gas is too high, i go to a different station.
I used to use comcast/xfinity. their customer service was some of the worst and my service began to degrade. once another option opened, i switched to providers with better service.
my electric server i expect them to communicate according to the needs of the service (ie. outages, rates, etc.) of which they do. my lights stay on. even during covid they provided us time to catch up on bills due to loss of income.
I get that, and I don’t mean any of what I said to be argumentative for the sake of arguing; however, in nearly every other aspects of our lives, we really dont put up with as much garbage as we seem to do with gaming companies.
If we go eat at a restaurant and the waiters/waitresses dont communicate with us at all, and bring us our food at an “acceptable” state at best, we don’t go back. But when Blizzard does the same thing, many of us find it acceptable to return. I have simply reached my limit of disrespect.
Its personal, for sure. Can’t really call that a problem though - this whole thing is voluntary. People can come and go for any reasons they wish. You’re simply not taking part for now if ever again - pretty much everyone playing has to make that decision at some point and at least ten million (if not more) already have.
It may seem pointless to others and while I have many doubts any one feedback post from one poster is getting any special attention, these forums are surveyed in one way or another and someone or something is counting the buzzwords so post to your hearts content.
If nothing else, its cathartic to unload some disappointment on something you’ve been holding back your disappointment on in hopes of not being disappointed.
If anyone were to ask me, Id say Blizzard doesn’t owe any one jack squat. That being said, the potential for something greater exists but is never close to be being achieved when the criminally greedy and terminally entitled stupids are running the show. In that way, yeah, its a big fat disappointment.
It’s almost like Blizzard’s game development is as much of a dumpster fire as their company culture in recent years. You know when you hear somebody loudly fart in a small room, and it’s only a matter of time before it smells like ****?
I think it happened already. There must have been a reason most of the good talent left, and the new retail expansion is reflecting their “new” and “changed” company.
Hot take:
Who cares.
The company is about to undergo major changes since the Microsoft dealing is moving forward.
Oh it’s this noob again.
You had zero reason to post in this guys thread.
Scram. Go lie more about soloing red elite quests and pick the wrong race again next fresh
Lol aren’t you the guy who always defends blizz in their efforts against Botting?
Nope, I’ve got posts going back three years saying they haven’t done enough for bots.
Who knows why you decided to reply to what I said with a completely inaccurate personal attack but you do you I guess.
Here’s one comment I made 20 days ago:
You’re always saying that it’s too hard for them to ban bots lol. You will not be missed shill boy.
That’s blatantly inaccurate and you clearly are thinking of someone else. Good luck in finding proof of your claim.
I’ll be missed by the people I’m missed by and not missed by forum trolls. That I know.
I’m not going to keep replying to you in this thread.
It’s disgusting to see Blizzard’s complete and utter neglect of this community. I keep coming back to the forums to see if they’ve given any indication of their next move for Classic and it’s just dead. Months and months of completely valid requests, questions, or just passion over the game being plastered across these boards for an extended period of time without a single response of any kind from Blizzard that could even remotely indicate that they give a $%#@. The only conclusion a person could draw is “They don’t”.
