Give it a little while and soon you’ll be playing bots capable of r1

That GIF is huge but its from my favorite video so its :ok_hand:

Oh, I’m sure - if for no other reason scripting and such has been used to good effect (until they got busted).

I’m sure we’ve all lost to a larry script. Combine it with Deep Mind and it’ll be a hostile takeover by bots

Did they buff their damage a bit? Cuz I’ve notice they melt me pretty fast now. I’ve been having some close calls vs them lately. At first we would 4-5 cap them quickly but now they actually put up a fight!

Pretty sure they did. Too bad really, I’d rather see them play better instead of getting an I level buff essentially.

Yeah. I had thought you would only be rewarded conquest for the first win; but I am sure lots of people are repeating the brawl for an easy 40 conquest per day. Someone mentioned additional wins give you 8 conquest, but I haven’t confirmed.

They do and they also complete the 4 wins quest.

My druid was in a tie last night, which was pretty humbling.

Would love to join you, but need to do a booze run first :stuck_out_tongue:

I guess we’ll find out 29th August :stuck_out_tongue:

I lost one on the horde side … the AI has gotten better on ninja capping and the players have got complacent after the earlier stomps and were trying to get all 5 bases .

PS:- The way they vertically run up the cliff wall at BS is just pure BS.

I was wondering how long it would take for this to happen. Once word spreads of the free wins and players start afk’ing or not paying attention, is it only a matter of time before it becomes bots vs afks? If we get enough players who ignore the objectives, it might be possible to lose one of these.

Yep, sure enough, last night I was in two losses in a row, 1500-14XX. Yep…You may wonder how that feels. Well, friends, I’ll tell you. It was surreal in a way, but in another way it made so much sense. I’m not sure if there were any other players in both matches, as I only screenshotted the first.

Both losses played out the same way, starting with one or no healers, ST gets hit early (just like every time) but there’s no callout. Players are expecting their automatic free win so they just ride out to…I’m not sure what some people were doing, honestly. Just killing time until they get their free win, I guess.

It was like a laundry list of every bad play you see in AB pugs…not calling incomings, capping and leaving nodes unguarded, afker’s, groups fighting in the road, deserters, feeble kamikaze attacks, enemy healers freecasting, people shouting dumb orders in chat, groups of 2’s or 3’s at every node and others just…wherever. Both games went the same way: possession declined silently between 4-1, 3-2, 2-3, 1-4, and then we’d claw back to 3-2, but with not enough time remaining. Meanwhile did the spirit of the neckbeards unravel.

Some fled from the battle to hide their shame and preserve their armory stats. Some were angry and lashed out at each other. Some just looked at the scoreboard in disbelief. No joy in Mudville.

Oh wow, a tie! In one of my alliance games we won by only 200 points. I recall my team road fighting a lot in that game, and leaving nodes undefended.

Yeah, if people know it’s AI I bet quite a lot of them take it for granted that they’ll beat the AI. I don’t know if more people have played this brawl sloppier because of that, or if that’s how they always play. lol

i just started playing this brawl a few hours ago and i’ve lost all three so far.

i’m getting that dead eye thousand yard stare at this point

hard to say
although last night’s stomp left me thinking they tweaked the bots a bit.
actually had to work at it … some. lol

Sounds like Alliance PVP in general…

I didn’t lose on either side this morning, but both games were disturbingly close.

Ally side we didn’t even cap 3 bases until the Horde was at 600+. Alliance reached 4 digit score when I was on my Horde.

I for one welcome our new AI PvP overlords

This is how they do ai difficulty in literally every game though… They just cheat harder.

I like playing this game called Stellaris (4X game). I remember this one game where I had uped the difficulty the ai had two planets and I had 6+. This limits your fleet size, yet the ai had a fleet 3X bigger than mine. Should have been impossible but they cheat hard lol…

Oh I know, that’s how Blizzard games are too. I remember one match of Starcraft Brood War in particular. It was me and a buddy against AI. I forget why I was in a rough spot, but I ended up being eliminated.

Or at least “mostly” eliminated. I was Protoss, and I still had an Observer left. The permanently stealthed flying spy unit. No drones, no buildings, just that.

The AI team that smashed me was Zerg, and while I was trying to just “spectate” to see if my friend could pull off a victory, the Zerg would just chase my stealthed Observer around. A group of 20 hydralisks would follow and park under it, waiting for a slow moving Overlord to de-stealth it, who was always a little bit behind.

So yeah. I get how it is, it’s still a bit funny and disappointing though.
