Well that ending sucked

we still really have no idea what the jailer was trying to do.

that ending might have been worse than the Nzoth one

He was trying to unite all the cosmic forces under one power so their fighting/wars don’t destroy reality… or something.

Would’ve been great to know that TWO PATCHES EARLIER.

Exactly… So it turns out he was right lmfao. Like what???

We do know what the Jailer was trying to do.

There are 7 realms in the World of Warcraft universe. The Material Plane, the Shadowlands, the Light Lands, the Life Lands, the Fel Lands, the Arcane Lands, and the Void Lands. Zovaal wants to tear down the barrier between the worlds to unify all 7 planes against “The Ancient Ones”, who are like Old Gods, except they’re spookier because even the Old Gods / Void Lords fear them.

This was already data-mined in Firim’s text and the new cutscene confirms that this was Zovaal’s entire mission.

Blizzard pulled an Arthas 2 - Zovaal wanted to unite us all in Death against a greater foe. For Arthas during WOTLK it was uniting us against the Legion, for Zovaal it is uniting us against The Ancient Ones. Side-note: They’re probably retconned Arthas to having always wanted to unite us against The Ancient Ones, he just didn’t know they existed or only knew subconsciously.

I’m so, so weary of this story and the current story team.

yeah this storyline could have been far better if we were told what the jailer was trying to do right away.

So, to paraphrase you, we actually don’t know what he was trying to do.

so youre telling me that to understand what he was trying to do we had to read some random piece’s of paper throughout ZM? which most people either havent collected yet or dont read them.

yeah great story telling right there…

My advice, just ignore the lore. It’s pretty obvious the real reason they’re doing this is because Danuser wants more worlds to play around in.

Metzen’s lore painted the universe as a bleak, desolate place, where most life in the universe was eradicated by Sargeras. Danuser created this fictional cosmology with the intent to tear the walls down, so he could sort of reboot the universe with many new worlds with rich histories to explore without having to tie them to the Legion.

Those texts are literally mandatory for Pathfinder. Blizzard wanted to force you to engage with that lore without paying money for cinematics.

Well, it could have been worse I guess. With 2 percent health left, he suddenly yells, “I’ve had enough of this! Insolent fools! I’ll take care of you later!” And then turns and walks away.

It is not even that. I mean yes the Legion was winning but there were still many many world not conquered(see the invasion points).

This entire thing was lame still, even if you know he wanted to “win” the battle between the six cosmic forces we dont know WHY or HOW this is bad for us.

Blizzard is just eternally teasing at this point without any true pay off.

A scooby doo ending would of been great if the laugh track was added in.

You predicted Nzoth in BfA launch?

Now that would have been awesome! “I would have made it, if it wasn’t for you pesky kids!”

I’m laughing now imagining Zovaal chasing the heroes through multiple doors in nonsensical ways, thank you for that.

…

That’s literally the opposite of what he is saying. He just wants everyone to join forces to defeat a new spooky bad guy, but the Eternal Ones are actually morons (see: the Covenant campaigns) so they locked him in jail rather than listen to him. He realized he would have to “do it himself”.

He’s basically just Thanos.

N’Zoth was foreshadowed in 8.0 from what I’ve seen in the leveling experience, yeah. Did you level up Alliance side?

Except he is just going to end up winning for his realm. The metholodogy might ne different but the end result is the same. One realm(death) wins the conflict.

That’s because the writers never knew what he was doing. He was just a random story line they came up with on the fly and tried to retcon the entire franchise story line. Pathetic.

They’ve been doing this forever. It’s why I tell people to stop engaging with the story. They don’t reveal anything to get you excited and they don’t finish up storylines. I guess having a mystery is supposed to be the attention catcher but without any information to work with the mystery is boring.

jailer was a good boy after all?

edit: no nvm, he was nothing more than a mannequin
