Well, thanks for ruining an entire race, Blizzard

Void elves are getting blood elf skin tones, and that will be the end of void elves. Any individuality that void elves had was just stolen, and people are celebrating it. I have argued against high elves becoming a thing for a while, however just taking the aesthetic away from one race is the most laughably bad option possible. Should we give Maghar orcs green skin? No, because that ruins the point of the Maghars. So why are we not applying that logic to void elves?

Edit: Tired of addressing the same few lines in the replies, so I will make it absolutely clear for everyone.

  1. High Elves are significantly more popular then void elves, this is true. It is also true that the majority of void elf players will be taking up the lighter skin tones. This will effectively turn void elves into high elves, thus ruining the race.
  2. “bUt MaH aLlErIa” as if she didn’t become a ‘void elf’ in a completely different way than the other void elves, and is the only void elf with that skin tone.
  3. “Just use the purple skin tones” This point is addressed in No 1. I play a void elf, and enjoy my void elf’s aesthetic. The simple problem is, the majority of people just beg for high elves. So I ask, why ruin the void elves when we could just add a new AR for High Elves, which, I don’t know, Is a proper solution to this problem.

Funny, because I was one of the people who argued for a downvote. Do leave your reasoning as to why ruining a race is a good idea when you “downvote”

Other people having options doesn’t take away your blueberry.

Let other players have nice things

What makes you think Void Elves having their Unique void-skin-tone isn’t a major advantage over sharing a tone with Bloodelves, who will have less to no unique skin-tone now?

They have an option already, to go play horde. This is simply making void elves into high elves. High elves, if added, should’ve been a separate race. Stealing the void elf aesthetic was the worst move possible.

Aha, I found where you’re being confused. Blood Elves aren’t having anything taken away from them. They get to keep their skin. Void Elves, being a politically opposing branch of Blood Elves are just retaining their skin colors because there’s no reason they should all be blueberries when they have varying levels of “void corruption.”

Like their leader having more, and Just like Alleria keeping her normal skin colors (but with AWESOME tattoos).

I for one will be very happy when I can have my favorite hairstyle but also have a skin color that is a bit less like being covered in blue paint.

Easy mistake friend, you can move along now knowing that blood elves haven’t had anything taken away from them whatsoever.

It’s obviously just Blizzard attempting a compromise to keep these fanatical “High Elf” folks content.

They should have just not don’t anything because your reasoning that it takes away from the Belf and Velf originalty is a valid points by.

In fact, they should have made two new monstrously ugly races, one each for horde and alliance to silence all these vain roleplayers.

If someone wants to play a purple elf they will.

It’s probably Blizzard’s way to bring players over to the Alliance.

How is there an advantage? It’s a skin color. This is not real life where people are oppressed over the color of their skin. They are just colors in this game.

Blood elves GAINED things from this situation, it is the void elves that are being screwed over.

Also, “bUt WhAt AbOuT aLlErIa” as if she isn’t entirely different from the void elves in various ways, and as if the other faction leaders for the void elves aren’t proper void elves.

Maybe in your wrong opinion.

Why do you have to be rude about it? Have fun with your thread I guess. I’m not here for this.

Funny, the only fanatics I see are the ones constantly complaining about it. Now its a waiting game to see how long they get over it.

Do tell me what void elves gain from losing their aesthetic. Do tell me why taking the void away from void elves is a good opinion.

Also, “Wrong Opinion” as if opinions can be wrong in this sort of situation.

Some of us - the cool ones you wanna hang out with - are staying blue.

If you don’t want people to talk to you rudely maybe you shouldn’t talk to people with absolute condescending jerk tone?

wait, so your saying we won’t have the option for purple/blue void-elves anymore? well that’s a shame.

I didn’t. I’m sorry that you are offended by something I said though I guess.
