Yup not gonna go down that rabbit hole especially this early in the morning. I use to leave my computer on 24/7, but now that I’m in an environment with several cats…
Offtopic, did you see the BHphoto intel sale they’re having? Even cheaper than Microcenter pricing from 10700k(~$260) to 10850k(~$340).
When my old daily driver tower was reappropriated for living room gaming rig duty I was shocked at how much less dust it accumulated, just from sleeping most of the time, even during times of heavier use (a few hours per day). It needs cleaning about a third or fourth as often as when it was sitting on my desk awake at all times.

I think he’s talking theory like that guy Griefs did awhile back. The practical world is very different.
Auto install of patches aren’t human intervention. It’s a default Windows setting.
It’s definitely possible. I’ve done it before with an LTSC version.
You’re not doing it with a desktop install. If you are I’m calling BS. Where’s your image?
Your notion of ‘default’ Windows includes autoupdate. You can’t hamstring yourself by not updating in today’s world.
I think I had a problem with his justification for it. “The up/down extreme temps will kill your CPU, Memory, and Media Drive”
I think I’ll just chalk this guy off as someone who let the title “System Engineering” get to his head and just became a " I’m Right, You’re wrong" type.
Media drive, what year is this

Hey I still have 2 hard drives and a sshd in my pc along with a sata ssd and nvme SSD
Kinda wish the SSHDs kept going on but they too became obsolete
Do pre builds today even have a hard drive these days or no
In my mind I read those are multimedia drives and the image of a CDROM popped into my head
Usually I see them with a single 500gb ssd and that’s it, which is insufficient imo
Even 500gb ssds is starting to not be enough these days
My SSHD is a firecuda 2tb and I already used half the storage for games alone, majority of the games are modern games that ask for like 60+ gb for storage
How I keep my files and programs separate is I keep windows 10, WoW and drivers on the main drive, my nvme SSD, other games purely on the SSHD, and other random software I install on a 2 tb WD black drive
