Well Jaina and Shandris was Fun in Nazjatar but I think the Night Elf Leaders or Maiev should have been in Nazjatar

Remember I made a Post about hyping Shandris and Jaina up while bashing Tyrande for not going to Nazjatar. Hmm I take it back. Nazjatar would have been a good experience if Blizzard didn’t left Tyrande, Malfurian, Maiev, or any other major night elf character out of screentime.

I mean as much as I hated Tyrande. I kind of wanted to see her atleast have her long ancient arc done against Azshara something that Blizzard failed with in terms of the Orcs vs Kil’jaedon. Since Kil’jaedon was the main reason behind the Orc’s Corruption. Now that we defeated Azshara or atleast she’s alive. I kind feel bit disappointed how the whole story played out.

If there was going to be a another elven patch atleast have all of the Elves on the Alliance like the Night Elves even if the Quel’dorei or Ren’dorei the New Thalassian Elves have no business in Nazjatar. It would have been a Great Experience on the Alliance but nope its just One Night Elf Leader and Two Human Characters. That’s it. I guess so much for good interesting lore in BFA.

At least Azshara lives, so there’s always another chance.

If Blizzard will take that chance, I do not know.

Though at this point if Azshara was to come back to the story it will be less about the history of the Nightelves and just more her being a simple minion of Nzoth probably a mind controlled one at that.

Sadly Nazajtar really felt like the last bastion of Night elf history to explore and now its done we will never really need to revisit it.

Blizzard really wasted it, Where it could have a been a good chance to really give the Nightlelves a good lore moment after all the destruction they had suffered through. Instead we just got a few throw away quests with Shandris I hardly remember.

I hope so. The Night Elves atleast deserve a chance to have some love and better story than what they are now in days.

Nah. More important lore would be the Night Elves getting their lands on Kalimdor back.

Though we might be getting new Night Elf lore any way in 8.2.5 with the new Lunar Festival quests.

I just feel that blizzard won’t do justice by returning Nightelf lands, Atleast not putting them in a state nightelf players will like. Short of turning back the clock Teldrassil is gone and Ashenvale/Darkshore a mess of blight and torn down trees.

I know night elf players hate the Idea but them settling somewhere else might be better for the story in the long term.

The lunar event will have to include the Horde though so… don’t expect it all focused on Night elves.

The argument that Tyrande shouldn’t have been on the boats never really made much sense…because Genn and Shandris shouldn’t have been on the boats either by that logic. Also Jaina literally has the ability to portal back and forth from Nazjatar as we see in the Crossroads cinematic…she even goes to Stormwind to tell Anduin. But why wouldn’t one of the first things Jaina does is go and grab Tyrande and bring her back to Nazjatar?

Why is it so important that they write it specifically so that Jaina and Lor’themar (who other than Sylvanas suspecting of being a traitor, has literally 0 other reason to be on those boats) both end up together just like in MoP.

I agree with Night Elf fans, Tyrande should absolutely 100% have been in 8.2 and all over this expansion otherwise. The Genn and Jaina show is absurd, illogical, nonsensical, and tiresome.

I was kinda dissapointed with nazjatar i was expecting we would be in in this giant naga city but it was a just another kelp forest from vash’jir

I wouldn’t mind being in a Kelp Forest with different landmasses if the Naga City was huge. But instead its just a dark depth Naga Capital Spire…

I don’t ever forget that by Blizzard logic things go like this:
1.-Azshara is going to release N’zoth and conquer the world! What do we do with Tyrande? Leave her alone because she is “super busy” in Kalimdor!
2.- Anduin is getting a new ship! What do we do with Tyrande? Kalimdor will be fine, let’s have her relax and enjoy Anduin’s party.

Tyrande has such an amazing and rich lore background and it is a shame that Blizzard has never been able to do her justice.

The Darkspear should have been more heavily involved as well, seeing as how a Naga Sea Witch is what nearly wiped out their tribe and drove them to join the Horde in the first place.

(And is still a factor even after taking back the echo isles since the Naga attack the Troll starting zone.)

Would have been nice to have gotten some revenge for them ripping the soul out of poor Zuni…

No doubt that Blizz wasted Nazjatar, but as a Night Elf fan I think that Azshara already became a threat for all races on Azeroth and should be fought by all races. I only disliked that Jaina was the person which explained what Nazjatar is.

I don’t disagree with this.

Turning back the clock isn’t needed - and literally already available with Zidormi any way - we just need more of Malfurion growing trees back and the blight being removed and so forth. Blizzard could put gameplay into that if they wanted.

I disagree with that entirely. Stormwind didn’t permanently resettle elsewhere after it was burned down, after all.

If it involves Night Elves then they’re involved. Just because other races, like potentially the Tauren and Earthen, are involved would not make it any less of a story for Night Elves still.

Your probably right too. Hopefully not mind controlled though.

Truer words were never spoken. Najazatar was so hyped up and fell short. We hot a tiny piece of Zin Azshari, this supposed massive city. I was hoping to see at least the site of the orginal Well but no.

I did end up liking Shandris’ presence throughout the raid though as I was critical on Jaina and Lor’themar being the focus. We got Thalyssra’s help with one fight, I wish we had Shandris’ in another.

Because technically while Jaina and Genn are doing their Nazjatar thing, Tyrande and her husband are busy with the Darkshore Warfront.

I know right?

This didn’t feel like Nazjatar at all, more like a recycled map from Legion that was going to be used to conclude the story of the Tidestone.

I disagree, maiev’s story literally has nothing to do with the highborne, even less than shandris

Pretty much. Nazjatar is not supposed to be only the Night Elf’s story. Not even primarily so. Just as Mechagon is not only for the gnomes.

I wish people who think the Nightborne were given to the Horde to give them access to Night Elf story understood this.

If any NE character should have been fighting azshara, it should have been Jarod Shadowsong
