The usual love rocket complaints aside, I really liked the way they revamped the holiday, and I’m hoping more get a similar treatment. Highlights were:
- Kicking trash and screaming into pillows while worried NPCs inquired about your mental state.
- Reading, and petting cats and puppies to complete a quest.
- Watching people repeatedly getting savaged by a white elephant because they can’t help standing on it’s spawn point.
- The questline from the capital to Shadowfang keep.
I think a few things need improvement though:
- Make a new Crown Chemical fight. Perhaps a complete Shadowfang Keep dungeon where the fight is meaningful, and the chances of a love rocket drop scales up with difficulty.
- Stop making the vendors and holiday currency vanish. Keep them around for a week or put a holiday shop/vendor in each capital.
- Remove needless time restrictions on toys and transmogs.
I also hope that they add slightly different daily quests each year involving some of the other portal locations.
All in all, I’m happy to see these updates and I think we need to encourage more of them!

Probably my least favorite thing of the whole event, but accurate to how the real world treats mental health…
I just sat in a chair and waited.
The photo aggros the elekk.
Pretty much the same questline from before the revamp just tweaked slightly.
At the very least it needed to be scaled better; they all just toppled over…
The Lunar Festival coins don’t disappear, so I don’t know why other holiday currencies do.
This goes for all toys and transmogrifications, not just holiday ones.

I get that you can do stuff to relieve stress (like smacking baseballs with a bat out in the field, playing golf and hitting that ball far as you can, etc etc)
but kicking trash or screaming pillows is kinda a BPD thing…
Not a fan, having to do stuff for several days across several toons to buy the new stuff vs just farming it all in a day was annoying to me. And especially the 70k gold achievement (that should have rewarded the new Saddle (Manuscript)).
And of course, adding in the Saddle (Manuscript) at the same ridiculously low drop rate as the mount itself, TERRIBLE idea.

You can stand back and take the photo without aggroing it. Tried explaining this over and over but they still stand right next to the spawn point like stunned sheep.
