A blue will not come. Otherwise premading would be saved
Well good luck.
It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy: nobody can help. Premades will kill the mode, and only then will Blizzard step in to fix it.
thank you celenthia
This is like one of those guys that yell the end of the world is coming soon.
Moving this over so I can respond.
Players do not have the power to “shut down a thread”. They may report a post they feel may violates policy and that post may be temporarily hidden until it is reviewed by a Moderator, but actual moderation is only done by a Moderator.
Your previous thread was removed because you continued to call out other players/groups. If you wish to provide feedback on something game related, that is fine. Calling out other players and groups is not.
If there were automation, action and penalties would be applied almost immediately, no?
Let me cover how these forums work.
We have two basic systems in play on our forums. We have a system in place that is intended to detect spam, such as illicit advertisements, etc… If the system detects what it thinks is spam it will quarantine the post/thread until it can be reviewed by a Moderator.
We don’t see that spam on the WoW forums as much as we do others because in order to post you usually need an active account in good standing, which is a barrier for most of the folks that post that advertisement. It is still an active system on all of our forums though, so can sometimes hit new posting characters, especially if they are posting quickly and/or editing a lot.
The second system we have in place is a reporting system. This allows other users to report posts they feel may violate the Code of Conduct, or may not necessarily belong in a specific forum (such as off-topic discussions on other video games, movies, tv shows, etc…).
Those reports do two things.
- If there are enough of them it may temporarily hide a post until it can be reviewed by a Moderator.
- Even if there are not enough reports to hide a post, it may generate a report to be reviewed by a Moderator.
In both cases, any additional action that is taken is done by a Moderator.
If a Moderator finds the post violates our Code of Conduct they may delete the post/thread and/or penalize the posting character. In many cases when we feel a post simply doesn’t belong, or might be problematic, we’ll remove the post. This is generally an effort to get the poster to rethink the content of that post so that if they decide to post again that they do not violate policy when doing so.
As I said, we try to delete posts when we can to give folks a chance to correct their behavior. Unfortunately, some folks don’t take the hint, so here we are.
Yes, resorting to name calling in that manner would be grounds for penalty, but again, since there isn’t automation in the way you are assuming, it isn’t instant.
You should be aware now though, no?
You don’t, actually. Having an active account in good standing gives that account privileges, such as access to these forums. These are privileges though and not a guaranteed feature of having that subscription. They may be revoked for any reason, such as not abiding by our Forum Code of Conduct.
