I was on Proudmoore, which was problematic with lagging and stuttering during the first week of DF, and I’ve been meaning to get situated somewhere else before the next expansion hits so I can avoid those problems again. I took advantage of the current sale on character transfers and moved to Whisperwind – a medium pop realm that’s closer to me.
I haven’t been able to get an invite to any guilds yet. Apparently it’s not as easy to get a casual invite on a smaller realm. I’ve asked a few times in trade but no love yet for Swarf. I used the guild finder tool and submitted a few requests. ^.^
I got told off by a random player while out questing. I was doing one of those fishing quests with the lunkers – the ones where it’s common for players to often spear the same lunkers to get them to shore quicker. Someone didn’t like me spearing their lunker, so I got lectured on how I need to go get my own sh… and that if I can’t do it on my own without help, I should use the group finder. They then blocked me.
Good times on Whisperwind. I think I’m going to like it here.
Oh and I had to change my name, since there’s already a Swarf on Whisperwind. It hasn’t updated on the forums yet, but I am now Swarfmeister.
Whisperwind is kind of on the lower end of medium I assume from looking at some stuff and having alts there once, I feel like those tags beside servers are inflated
Next time make an alt and try out the server. Though with Alliance, a lot of the remaining alliance players seem to be moving to the full servers.
Join the guild I am in. The Librarians! We are super friendly and casual. Heck our GL is a real librarian.
We do held raids and m+ groups as well but just coz you aren’t a meta spec doesn’t mean we won’t take you. Some guildmate have stay on their main forever even through the bad times. We also talk smack on discord all the time is all fun and games.
Guild is a bit quite atm. Yesterday more people is online for the new patch. Once next season starts more people will play. We do have several m+ teams you can sign up.
Thanks but, full disclosure, I’m just a casual solo player that predominantly keeps to myself and does my own thing. I join guilds just for the basic guild perks. That’s about it.
Think of me as an old lamp collecting dust on a little table over there out of the way in the corner. That’s me! I’m quiet and peaceful. You’ll never even know I’m here. ^.^
