Welcome to the RDF room

I wasn’t aware the WoW forums were a new version of LinkedIn.

I’ll politely point you to the part where I stated I don’t care what people think about me specifically on these forums.

Quite the spectrum of career choices. Kudos to you for being so indecisive.

No where is it a requirement to work in social sciences to be sociable.

Props for trying though.

…says the person who has their profile hidden.

How does it feel stepping into the middle of a conversation and not know what is even being discussed?

Comprehension skills clearly lacking.

I can comprehend the quoted section of your comment perfectly fine. If you don’t care what people think of you, why have your profile set to hidden?

Clearly you don’t have comprehension skills as if you did, then you’d know this has been the entire point of what is being discussed. You’re interjecting yourself into the middle if it without any form of context outside of one quote from the entire debate.

The quote is what matters - you said you don’t care what people think. Yet, you have your profile hidden.

Scroll up and you’ll find your answer. I’m not spinning my tires with nonsense.

Which means you do not care what people think of you.

So, again, I ask, why do you have your profile hidden if you don’t care?

Because I can. I don’t need to provide any other reason than that to a random person on the forums.

Now that I’ve answered your question, how about providing the courtesy of answering mine?

Lol - that’s not an answer.

Stay classy, man.

Let’s not forget the part following the segment you quoted.

I figured you’d not answer. You do the same.

What would you like me to answer? Why I replied on public forums? I did answer that.

Thanks for proving my point in your lack of comprehension skills.

My work here is done. Have a good day.

I DID answer that, genius.

I know it may be hard for you to understand this is an answer, but it is.

LOL

Stay classy, dude. Hope things work out better for you.

Interesting. Would you say, professionally speaking, that you’re experiencing a form of depersonalization-derealization disorder? That you’ve convinced yourself that there are no real humans behind the words on your screen?

I see. So this is a manifestation of anti-social tendencies that you feel free to exhibit due to no real life consequences.

Thank you. I think I nailed it.

Not at all. I would say I have healthy boundaries between my personal life and my professional one. I come here for entertainment purposes. Not work.

I use the forums as a place where I get to express myself as I see fit without repercussions, so long as I abide by the parameters set forth by the CoC. If I were to call people out for their nonsense in my professional life, then it would go against the key component of helping them be successful which is to “do no harm”.

I’m not at work on the forums and as such am free to respond as I deem appropriate.

As mentioned above, I am not at work, and I can be as antisocial as I want to be. There are plenty of real-life consequences if I choose not to abide by the CoC which I agreed to upon posting on the forums. If I choose to go outside of them and receive a suspension of my posting privileges, then I lose access to a form of entertainment.

As a fellow social scientist, you’re not very astute at determining the purposes of having entertainment and/or have extremely unhealthy boundaries when it comes to separating personal life from work.

And clearly you want to be. Which was my point. Pick up on the social queues there, guy.
