Clearly you don’t have comprehension skills as if you did, then you’d know this has been the entire point of what is being discussed. You’re interjecting yourself into the middle if it without any form of context outside of one quote from the entire debate.
Interesting. Would you say, professionally speaking, that you’re experiencing a form of depersonalization-derealization disorder? That you’ve convinced yourself that there are no real humans behind the words on your screen?
I see. So this is a manifestation of anti-social tendencies that you feel free to exhibit due to no real life consequences.
Not at all. I would say I have healthy boundaries between my personal life and my professional one. I come here for entertainment purposes. Not work.
I use the forums as a place where I get to express myself as I see fit without repercussions, so long as I abide by the parameters set forth by the CoC. If I were to call people out for their nonsense in my professional life, then it would go against the key component of helping them be successful which is to “do no harm”.
I’m not at work on the forums and as such am free to respond as I deem appropriate.
As mentioned above, I am not at work, and I can be as antisocial as I want to be. There are plenty of real-life consequences if I choose not to abide by the CoC which I agreed to upon posting on the forums. If I choose to go outside of them and receive a suspension of my posting privileges, then I lose access to a form of entertainment.
As a fellow social scientist, you’re not very astute at determining the purposes of having entertainment and/or have extremely unhealthy boundaries when it comes to separating personal life from work.
