Weird Shape on Female Night Elf's Bald Head

  1. Head to Wowhead dressing room or in-game retail character creator and modify a female Night Elf.
  2. Select skin color: 12, hairstyle: bald.
  3. Observe phallic shape on the back of their head.

Why is that shape on the back of their head? I checked every other race with a bald head option and none of them have irregular shapes on their heads - they have the natural shading that you would expect on a bald head. :clown_face:

Maybe I’m just… blind? I can’t see the shape you are referring to. It could also be a wowhead glitch. Post a screenshot of your end?

First thing I thought.

It’s probably just a fluke with the way they painted/modified that particular texture and the way it wraps around the model there.

You can actually kinda see it here too:

It’s just that the contrast isn’t high between the lighter and darker parts.

It’s a bald head. It’s like…how do you miss something like this? Do customization options not pass through some kind of QA testing before being implemented? :clown_face:

She’s definitely hiding her air bender status by inverting the design and putting it on the back of head instead of the front.

Can almost guarantee that the skin texture was painted long before the bald head option was made available. And it never came up before that, because the character would always have hair or a helmet covering it.

My guess would be because the stubble texture is just recycled from the males, and it’s put on backwards to give them that kind of widow’s peak look instead of the Danny Devito thing the guys have going on. But this causes the gradients to not work right, resulting in the weird minaret in the back. Bald styles were added to women late in the development cycle and this was missed by quality assurance.

At certain angles, the light shows their brain focus. This makes sense for NElfs.

It definitely looks like an arrow to me. I also thought of Avatar as well.
