Weird quest in Stormwind

I was making my way through Stormwind Keep to deliver news about the Defias Brotherhood when Count Remington Ridgewell waved me over. He told me of a lost relic of nobles who used to rule in Alterac. The Perenolde Tiara.

Old Kelsey can’t turn down a good adventure, so I hopped on the Deeprun Tram to make my way up to Alterac. I didn’t have a mount yet, so I packed some snacks and made my way to Loch Modan. I then took a turn up to the Wetlands where I was chased by several 6-legged crocodiles. And if you thought that was bad, I then had to run through Arathi Highlands where I was chased by several DINOSAURS!! Yup, raptors aren’t just in Jurassic Park anymore. I then made it to Hillsbrad and saw where Alterac was in the zone. I had to be very careful as I saw a town full of Horde on the way. I saw a Blood Elf making silver at a forge and I said “Hi” to her but she seemed too busy to talk.

Finally, I caught sight of the city Alterac. It seemed the town had been besieged by ogres. I tried to sneak past them, but this little gnome turned out to be quite the giant slayer. Then I saw him. Grel’borg the Miser. Our eyes locked and I demanded he hand over the tiara. But he wasn’t willing to negotiate, so things turned bloody. It was a tough fight, but Kelsey came out on top.

Tiara in hand, I pulled my hearthstone from her bag and used it… Then, as I landed in Gnomeregan I realized I probably should have set my home to Stormwind.

A quick tram ride and a run up to Stormwind Keep, I handed the tiara over to Count Ridgewell. And for my efforts, I was awarded with… 40 silver.

I then spent that on 3 Flagons of Dwarven Mead.

That’s a long journey by foot!

I long ago did that. remember I had to get a couple of friends one a priest healer and one a tank and we went to do it.

It was a hard fight, rewards were not bad for that time.

Worthy of the journey, aye, was a experience to add to the lore of my baby dwarven hunter who retired at level 60.

He still is hanging out on the beach in westfall. I log into and visit him from time to time. Funny seeing the stuff in his bags like daggers and ammunition and stuff that he some how forgot how to equip and use.

Along with being a good narrator and storywriter, that OP is also utterly adorable! +1

Reminds me of doing the warlock Succubus quest back in the day. The walk to Hammerfall at lvl19 was not a pleasant experience.
