For some reason I can’t use the following names:
光復香港
天安门
时代革命
It says names can only contain letters, but if I remove one of the characters, it works, and if I only use the removed character it works as well, what is the issue?

Use some real names.
Those are some real names.
They’re just not English names.
Oh okay, so I can use something like jinpingpooh and it will work instead, thanks!
Here’s why:
You: Hey bro can you invite my alt to the guild
Bro: Yeah what’s your character name?
You: 光復香港
Bro (can’t copy/paste): Nevermind bro the guild is full.
Then why are any of those characters on their own valid names?
you won the internet today
As a native chinese speaker, I’ll do everyone (except OP of course, clearly she knows what these means) a favor by translating these:
I know it has actually come up/been mentioned before, but I always forget that you aren’t a native english speaker. You would think using correct grammar would be a tip off.
Anyway, thanks for the translations. Sheds a lot of light on the situation.
