So since the start of the weekend I have been having super odd latency issues. My latency has been slightly higher than normal with a few cases of Transfer Aborted: instance not found errors when using portals or taking flight masters. Another cool added bonus of this is sometimes when my flight lands I dont dismount but stay mounted for another 10-20 seconds before getting popped into the inbetween. Other than when the latency spikes when Im doing something this has been more annoying that anything actually hindering. Wondering if anyone else has had these issues recently.
Howdy Exetium,
These issues can happen for several reasons so I would suggest starting with the steps here. If this persists, let’s get a WinMTR test to gather more information:
- Download WinMTR
- Unzip the file to your desktop
- Run the WinMTR as Admin
- Type
24.105.62.129in “host”. - Click “Start” and open the game. Let the MTR test run for at least 10 minutes to capture this issue occurring.
- Click “Copy text to clipboard”
- Type two sets of four squiggly lines and then paste the contents of the WinMTR test between:
~~~~ Paste WinMTR Test Results Here ~~~~
Note: If it’s not letting you post, break links by adding a space before .com/.net, so you can post them. You can also upload the MTR contents through Pastebin and post the link (ex: Pastebin (dot) com/123456).
Warzone works fine for me btw. Even other games, only WOW :S
It looks like there is 15% packet loss starting at this hop on the ISP route which may be causing issues. I’d recommend testing another network like a mobile hotspot to see if there’s any difference. If so, you can contact your ISP and see if they can investigate this problem. Alternatively, a free VPN may help route you around this problem.
Looking at all of these Trace Routes it looks like everyone is experiencing Packet Loss outside of the Blizzard Network. These all point to standard internet issues not related to the game.
Brynvold,
It appears you are having connection issues on your first Hop. You are experiencing 8% Pack Loss. This is most likely going to be the way you are connecting to your router or the router itself is having issues.
Exetium,
It appears you are experiencing major Packet Loss outside your home network. This is most likely related to an outage or technical issue with your Internet Service Provider. I would give them a call if issues persist.
Roselai,
You are experiencing MASSIVE Packet Loss of 95%. This is occurring in your Routing Table going from Asia Pacific to AMR West. This is can be caused by an internet outage or technical issue between international Internet Service Providers. I would recommend contacting your Internet Service Provider if issues persist. This is not something your local ISP probably has the ability to fix but it might be something they can influence if enough of their users are impacted.
cool, thanks for the comment. will check with my isp
Looking at this thread got me interested about my connections as well (mainly, am I experiencing any delay/connection issues in pvp?). Ran it for 10 minutes. I recognize that the no response from host isn’t something to be concerned about, but the 82% loss from 71.149.23.232, does have me interested if there is something wrong. Although across the board everything else looks pretty good.
It’s not just the packet loss at that hop to be concerned about - there are huge latency spikes there as well - between 1.4 and 4.5 seconds with an average of 3.3 seconds. Something definitely looks off on that hop.
Any suggestions at how to proceed on fixing it or what to tell AT&T?
Identify the hop, the packet loss, and the latency.
Be polite, and you’ll probably need to ask for level 2 or 3 support.
