Weird connection problem

so if I use my personal cell phone for internet on my laptop it takes over 10 mins to get through “Logging into game server” screen. After I select my character it takes another 10 mins to load. For a few mins after finally loading in my latency is 4000ms then falls down to 40ms and plays fine. Speed tested, connection is very good. I can stream HD, everything works fine. Just WOW is having problems. If i use my work phone that is the same provider as my personal cell it load WOW just fine every time. Another weird thing about this problem is some days my personal phone works perfect too but not too often. I’ve contacted blizzard and my service provider and neither can tell me what the problem is.
Maybe someone has had this problem before? if so how did you fix it? Thanks for reading. EDIT: My work phone is actually with Bell.

Are you on Telus - there was a very similar post back 3 weeks or so. Person was on Telus cell. (Oilers - keyed me to Telus) No solution was found on that thread.

My personal cell im having the issue with is Telus yes. I Just checked my work phone again and noticed its actually bell… No solution on that thread does not sound promising. thank you for the reply.

Like I say - there was no solution found. Problem being the game doesn’t support cell connections. You are on your own there. One solution might be the Telus HUB device. I have a couple friends that use that - works great.

Just reading through the old threads now. Looks like a Telus problem in Alberta. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I’m not sure if this is a Blizzard problem or a Telus or combination of both. Like I said you aren’t likely to get much support from the game side. At one time it was common to see cell connection issues when folk were trying to patch. Very common.

One thing comes to mind here - this all seems to be some kind of authentication lag. Do Telus cell phones have security softwares. I wonder if exceptions for the Bnet and Game might work.

Are you a fellow Albertan - small world. I have Telus fiber - it is great. My old Telus ADSL was rock solid as well.

I think it would be a Telus issue, evidence being the bell phone works. I agree it is probably some kind of authentication lag as the game works fine once i get through the log in boss.
I dont think my Telus phone has security software that any samsung phone wouldnt have too.
I am a fellow Albertan, I love my Telus home internet. Fiber will be available to me very soon.

So I contacted telus again and explained to them my issue and they move me to another PDN gateway IP and it fixed the issue. Just thought I would put this out there for people that may have this problem in the future.
