Just had something in my client for 14.5gb needed to be downloaded and the title said wow_beta. Downloaded it and everything but in the dropdown there is no beta. Anyone else get this update?
No but I haven’t brought the game up since yesterday. Maybe it’s just making beta available if you should decide to try it?
Weird that it was the same size as beta but nothing in the drop down and I didnt get an email.
I’ve never done a beta so Idk how it works. I read where they’re doing it different this time around though so maybe you don’t need an email.
Idk though. Maybe someone with more info will post a better response and clear it up.

Nope. Got rid of it right before i got this random update. So I had the “wow_beta” update and the ptr update qued at the same time.
I ask because there was a PTR update earlier updating it for the 11.0 pre-patch.

there was a beta update, but it wasn’t that big an i do have beta. Could it have been cataclysm beta update it is showing on my update.

I dont even have Cata beta. The last beta i got was SL beta.

Well I had two updates one was for the 11.0 ptr and the other said wow_beta
I believe there was a beta update as well either today or yesterday, so maybe it was that and it just ended up showing for everyone? That or something that’s not yet announced.
Did you purchase the war within expansion that include beta? If no I would delete the folder. It was probably just a glitch.
I have not. I deleted the folder and it came back, and is asking me to download it again. But i dont have the 11.0 ptr downloaded.
That’s weird. Can you put in a ticket for that? Ask Blizzard directly?
