I think the Vault should give higher ilvls for PvP and Raids like it does Mythic+.
So if you kill a bunch of normal bosses you get a heroic piece. Or if you do a bunch of rated pvp at such and such a rating you get 1 piece a week from the rating one above you.

The PvP gearing system is already significantly better than any of the other systems in M+ or raid and M+ the end of dungeon loot is significantly lower ilvl for comparable content.

They might be changing things for PVP. I heard they are considering the WOD gear system. Which could possibly mean that honor and conquest gear wouldn’t have ranks anymore and be a single ilvl. Not sure how the vault will work.

The reason the Vault gives higher loot for M+ is because you’re unable to get anything higher than 210 from a 15+.
In raiding you’re free to do Mythic for 226 gear and the vault drops to that ilvl as well.
Same for PvP, everyone has the opportunity to get 226 ilvl from the vault if they earn it.
Can you get 207 weapons (like from Normal Sire) in the vault? Or is it just 200 only?
Anything from that contents loot table, so yes a 200 item could actually end up a 207 or a 213 turn into a 220 if its a Sire/Generals drop.
This doesn’t really make any sense. Why should you get heroic gear for completing normal difficulty? Why should you be rewarded 1600 gear if you’re a 1400 player? It’s a no from me.
PvP has a cap.
Raids have lockouts.
M+ is repeatable, which is why end of dungeon loot is respectively lower.
I view it as you ran 226 content to get your 226 in vault, the runs to get there just have reduced rewards because of repeatability. Your not getting more than you deserved.

The vault is a combination of BFA chest and bonus rolls, luck prevention system. It rewards gear based off the content done. Mythic + it rewards higher simply so that content feels relevant and since it’s weekly it can’t be brute forced.
If you feel that raid boxes are not holding value to you then you are overgeared for that content and should be doing a higher difficulty.
The only problem with the vault at the moment is the RNG has potential to have streaks of bad luck. Legendary slots, repeats etcetera. This is why valor points are coming back for M+, since the loot tables are huge for that content.
Raid chests are trickier because it is balanced around guild groups. As you clear with the same groups regularly and yourself and others gear up your chances of getting a piece you need “should” go up. The one snag I will admit is certain all class/spec items like cloaks/necks/rings have too high of a drop chance compared to armor so we keep seeing occurrences of one boss dropping 2-3 of the same drop.
One reason I think the PvP one should give you something higher is so many times when you are trying to break through to the next tier of stuff you get matched against players that already have the gear you are working to get so you are handicapped.

PvP is still the easiest and most rewarding gear system currently. Your items you have purchased retain value long after you spend the currency on them. M+ has a total valor cap so in theory you could upgrade an item, get lucky (and unlucky) on vault and replace said item and you could very well end up valor capped, not being able to purchase anything and not even be wearing anything from valor. PvP items wont ever be “wasted” like that . In arena your more likely to die because of a poor call, getting cc’d or missing a cc than you are because of brute force from a team in 213 instead of 207. Probably not the ilvl.
