Except that’s been the main focus of this game since it’s inception. It’s only convenient for you to say that considering LFR lets you see the current raid tier but thankfully limits you to sub par gear.
Why should we remove it to a different NPC? They are at the main questing hub for the current expansion where EVERYONE is. Why would you make someone go somewhere else to find an NPC?
Oh and you can still level with Pet battles and it is a viable way to have fun for lots of people.

I am breathing just fine. It seems like I am making it so you get all hot and bothered over something that I pointed out and gave a good fix for too.
The purpose of the weekly is to get people to do multiple forms of content. Pet battles is one of them. The pvp ones only reward pvp items/currency too.
I mean unless we are counting AP as a reward? I like to believe that we haven’t sunk that low as a community to be entirely honest.
Who cares about killing Mythic G’huun? Oh thats right you do. Not everyone wants to kill G’huun or do any mythic anything. Mythics are not the end all for this game. You are completely missing the point that people play this game the way they want and get/use the rewards they like to progress the way they want to.
Great example of this: DoubleAgent. Hasn’t ever stepped foot off of the starting Panda area and has not chosen a faction to support. Completely leveled from 1-120 with herbs and mining. Is this the wrong way to play this game?

Exploration and interaction with the world has been the point since the game’s inception.
Raiding didn’t become the ‘big thing’ for most players until it was opened up to the majority of the playerbase in 3.3 going into Cata. Until then it was rare to find players that had done a single raid and those that had generally hadn’t progressed beyond the entry raids for their expansion (Naxx for Wrath and Kara for BC.)
Until the Raid Lockouts were changed and grouping was made easier, combined with catch up gear in late BC and again in late Wrath most players weren’t geared or dedicated enough to do raids.
Thats why we got LFR in 4.3 and the 10m/25m along with the heroic/normal split in Wrath.

Things evolve friend. WoW is 14 years old and has had LFR for 7 of those. Its a little difficult to claim its not an integral part of the game. Pet battling has been in-game for 6 years. Again not exactly a “new-fangled” thing.
Sometimes life is just not all about you. I guess you get this week off. Grats!

You previously stated you have no idea how many people pet battle. And I would wager that I am not the only pet battler that doesn’t have all their pets leveled to 25 so if you feel like its a waste of your time that’s one thing but arguing that it is a waste of time for pet battlers? That means you are talking about something you know very little about.
Should I start complaining about how mythic raiding works?

I can’t keep contributing to this thread with the pitch fork mentality going on. I gave a reasonable idea for this fix but it’s still not good enough. Before you say it was never broke consider the fact that everyone could be happy and not be locked out from some form of content only a small % participates in.

And shame on you for thinking I had the fullest intent of trolling in this thread even though I gave my take on it with an appropriate fix that will benefit everyone. Sorry your comment made me retract my last statement. It’s a stupid weekly.
- You did not give a reasonable idea that would “fix” something not broken that works for everyone. In fact there is nothing anyone can do to make a fix that works for everyone.
- You still haven’t said where you are getting your numbers for this small % of players that do it… You keep skipping over that when requested for a source.
- Classic won’t have mythic raids and weekly NPC so all this is apparently a mute point for you since you are quitting and going to play classic.

It won’t have battle pets either. So there’s a W for everyone not worried about battling their pets but progressing their character.
