Really 25 levels for a pet? This is only good for people who enjoy doing pet battles. What an absolute waste.

The reward isn’t even a random cache which is laughable. It’s instant 25 levels for a pet. I don’t know what the demographics are for people who do pet battles but I’d argue its a small minority of players in game.

You’re missing the big picture. A Mythic raider like yourself has access to pet drops that a filthy casual such as myself does not.
You take that Mythic Raider pet, slap on 25 levels, and then sell to the filthy casual, such as me.

Ugh yeah I guess you guys are right even though pet battles account for a small minority of players. Who I’d also like to bet have all their pets fully leveled. I could be wrong.

My trade chat is exploding. Then again anyone who actually enjoys pet battles aren’t openly talking about it considering its such a small community behind it. I didn’t realize pet battles can help you excel in end game content, damn I need to play catch up.
Wait for the day when attunement isn’t grinding Stratholme and Scholomance 150 times, but winning 25 pet battles around the globe.

Uh seems like the other thing actually nets you something useful in return though?
I’d argue the percentage of players who partake in Pet Battles probably is far greater than that which raids Mythic. So clearly, Mythic should be removed since its a minority, no?

Each week goes after a different audience. I enjoy pet battles but not PvP pet battles so I ignore this weekly. I don’t enjoy PvP so I ignore the battleground and arena weekly.
I mean, I guess technically they could slap 750-1000 AP onto the reward but that’s not really useful either. And they can’t really offer a gear cache from doing pet battles, so…what reward would be useful in your opinion?
It’s also early Christmas morning, I’m sure a lot of players are opening presents, watching their kids open presents, getting frazzled in the kitchen, etc… So people talking in trade doesn’t automatically make them the vast majority of players.
Either way, if you don’t like pet battles, ignore the weekly and take it easy. It’s really that simple.

Holy hell okay lol chill people, the reward is stupid though. Some cutthroat people on here. I mean honestly though if you enjoy pet battles that’s cool I guess but why is the weekly quest npc used for that? Give it to a master pet battle trainer somewhere else in the world. Just seems like a huge waste.
The people who do pet battles aren’t only doing pet battles. So it seems stupid to completely use up an NPC that everyone goes to weekly for hopefully netting an upgrade.

Or, stay with me now, they could keep it as it is and if it’s not a reward you want then don’t do the quest. Oddly enough (not odd at all), that is what I do (or don’t do I guess) during PvP weeks. I mean… they could put that in a BG instead HURR DURR, right?

The reward is stupid to you, to collectors and a lot pet battlers, a instant 25 is far from useless. Especially given the new Gnomergon(spelling?) pet dungeon which has some tricky battles that may call for pets a person doesn’t currently have at 25.
Also, where is the gear cache from the arena and battleground weekly, last I saw that was AP, Honor and Marks of Honor I think. The weekly quest NPC is used for just that, weekly quests. Slightly less than half provide gear rewards
For what its worth, the pet battle community is far from cutthroat, if you’d ever visit that forum you would find a lot of nice and generally helpful people. Just because we are disagreeing that this weekly is stupid and pointless doesn’t make us cutthroat, lol.
We get it, you don’t like pet battles. Seriously though, just ignore the weekly and do whatever else it is you want to do. No need getting aggressive and trollish over it.

So you agree with me that it would make more sense to have a quest like that be given out by an NPC that is related to that type of content? Shocking! Someone actually agreeing with me but somehow manages to turn it back on me.
Funny thing is people still do PvP weekly because the reward is better than a stone that instantly gives your pet 25 levels. Do you see the irony here?
Or selling leveled pets on the AH.
Run an old Raid, get a rare-ish pet, boost it to 25, then AH it for like 20-30k.

No I don’t. I think the way they do it now is correct. Some weeks are for me. Some weeks are for you. Some weeks are for someone else. It doesn’t need to be all me all of the time.
