Weekly pve chore list for SL

rough outline for anyone who’s not super sure about what the weekly chores for SL are currently looking like

the very best thing you can do is level early and park your least played alts and just do a 1 day weekly maintenance

your weekly content will consist of

• Torghast

Highest difficulty + floor 6? (mayb 8) to maximize soul ash (legendary currency)
unfortunately week 1 you have to clear several difficulties through floor 6 (or 8 idr) to reach the final level to maximize soul ash

but the following weeks after unlocking the highest difficulty you can just jump right in and do that one and get all the soul ash for the other difficulties for it

AFAIK there’s currently NO catch up for missed weekly soul ash for legendary crafting
so i’d recommend at minimum just doing this weekly for your underplayed alts that you’re trying to maintain
apparently it’s like 30 min max weekly

• Renown

Basically a weekly bar that’s filled up via world quests
apparently it’s comparable to the bfa invasion zone fill up bar
Renown is what unlocks your soulbinds and stuff so you’ll wanna keep up with it

afaik there’s a small catch up here so if you miss a week you’re fine but expect it to be about 1 hour if you’re slow weekly

• Mythic + 15 for cache

if you have friends it’s worth just aiming to get at least a 12 done weekly on your underplayed alts as the cache gear from 12s will be vastly superior to pvp gear early
and +15 cache gear will be better than max pvp gear so getting the weekly cache passively is worth it

this is a pretty sweaty overview and some of the info is a little off

you can get by with a lot less work and you don’t have to rush but if you’re interested in how maintenance for the most ‘cOmPeTiTiVe eDgE’ is lookin’

unfortunately this doesn’t touch on sockets or the socket currency though

The sockets are what is actually sweaty. Hated doing this in 8.3. Glad they gave a deterministic way to get them but the content was unfun.

You don’t really have to do mythic 15 now considering the PvE chest and PvP chest are combined and the items that have a chance to come from the PvP chest have vers/x stats on them. I think renown is the only true weekly this time around

I just like the game. This isn’t a chore list for me, it’s a itinerary for my journey to Shadowlands, and I can’t wait to go on every ride!

You don’t really have to do mythic 15 now considering the PvE chest and PvP chest are combined and the items that have a chance to come from the PvP chest have vers/x stats on them.

i would be surprised if gear under 2400 for weekly cache was close to 226

maybe i’m wrong and randomly 1800/2100 cache gives 226 but it’s more likely (haven’t looked) that 2100 cap is like 213 from weekly

pve gear doesn’t have less vers on it just because pvp gear always has vers on it
throwing away ilvl is just kinda dumb

unless sub 2400 cap gives within like 5? ilvl of +15 loot

I’m not doing M+, but the rest doesn’t seem super bad. Unless of course the Torghast content is actually hard and you can’t do it on a chit geared alt and need to actually do a bunch of other crap to gear them to even be able to do the “maintenance” that’s required.

from what i’ve seen it’s apparently easy to do the maximum cap with heroic dungeon/mythic 0 gear

that’s shocking

it’s entirely likely that the duelist box is mythic raid ilvl

that would be genuinely impressive and be a very positive thing for pvp players

While outdoor world gameplay and professions offer a range of epic gear, the very strongest loot in WoW comes from the three organized multiplayer endgame progression paths: Rated PvP, Mythic Keystone dungeons, and raiding. The design intent is for all three paths to provide parallel progression over the course of a tier, while providing players who engage in multiple paths at a comparable level a faster advancement experience. For example, we’re currently targeting item level 213 for Challenger-level PvP, Heroic raiding, or Mythic Keystone dungeons at the +7 difficulty.
