Any thoughts on what level a toon needs ot be to get the weekly Profession quests?
Druid - Level 85 got - both Engineering and Mining Profession quests
Warrior - Level 80 - Got Tailoing quest but not Enchanting
Mage - Level 80 - Got LW but not skinning.
Cant seem to figure out whats going on with these quests. Only my druid has started the campaign quests. My other toons have only teleported to the new Silvermoon City.
Iirc you need to be 25 in the profession to see the quest
And that actually means (or used to anyway) 25 in the basic profession, i.e. vanilla or Classic.
All my toons are maxed out in every profession before Midnight.
Clarify: need to be 25 in the midnight profession

My mage is has 3 points in LW and is level 80 and got a weekly quest for LW. But is 3 in skinning and didnt get a weekly quest. Odd
Ah. Must be gathering professions that I’m remembering then. Because I recall needing to get to 25 to test my macro in the beta. But crafting professions I guess can get upon unlock
Im just trying to remember how it went in WWI. I know there was both Enchanting/Tailoring quests as well as LW and Skinning. I cant get skinning but I can get LW on a level 80. I can get both Moning and Engineering on a level 84. There has to be a common denominator somewhere. LOL
What level is your mining
My mining is 44. So, you thinking that gathering skills need ot be above 25 to get the Weekly but Primary skills need to be 1 to get the weekly?
Right so that’s greater than 25. You see the quest
Skinner is less than 25. You don’t see quest
There seems like there might be a two part requirement for the gathering professions.
One of my alt shamans (mining/skinning) could not see either gathering quest while level 80 despite being over 25 skill for both, but as soon as she dinged level 81 she could see both quests.
Crafting seems like there might be a bug. Below 25 skill my alts had to pick up the quest from the guy in the central area (Captain Flaresworn) that gave the Crafting Order quest initiation. Above 25 skill, they could pick them up at the table from the primary trainer.
Enchanting I have no idea because I have not gotten one of mine that high.
Correct, for crafters you need to do the intro sequence before seeing the crafting order quest
Not to see the quest, but literally which NPC offers the quest. Above 25 skill, the primary profession trainer offers the quest. Below 25 skill, Captain Flaresworn offers the quest.
I don’t have any toons that didn’t do the intro quest lol so I can’t say. (Did the intro on alllllllll my alts for free bags of mats lol)
Wasn’t the case when I took this toon to Darkmoon Faire with exactly one point of Midnight Engineering, Midnight Leatherworking, Midnight Fishing, and Midnight Cooking. Literally. One point.
If there’s anything to this, it’s that gathering skills (other than Fishing) seem to have a higher prerequisite than crafting skills, if the reports here are believed.

…I thought we were talking about the weekly profession quest?
Not sure if we are talking past each other so let me try it this way.
Main BS: 55 skill, weekly quest offered by Bemarrin at the BS table.
1st BS Alt: 26 skill, weekly quest offered by Bemarrin at the BS table.
2nd BS Alt: 9 skill, weekly quest offered by Captain Flaresworn.
All three did the intro. The same quest to fill three BS crafting orders, but their Midnight crafting skill determined whether the weekly quest was offered by the primary trainer or the Captain.
Same behavior for JC, LW, and Alchemy.
Edit:
Inscription and Engineering were offered by the primary trainer even below 25 skill.
Tailoring I have no idea which behavior because the initial bag got all three of mine to 50 skill.
Ah, not the DMF profession quests.

Does the intro quests deermine if the bags of mats is available as a reward or will all toons get the reward back if the SKIP was used for the intro quests if that makes sense.
