Weekly Profession Quests

the weekly profession quest for crafters should just be at their respective profession trainer, without even thinking sometimes i just get started on patron orders and then remember “oh yeah i should grab the weekly quest” and thats after finishing off some orders so then i need to wait for more in order to finish the weekly… and yes i understand its a weekly so its really not a huge deal, but still its just odd. why is enchanting weekly the same as mining/herbalism/skinning. from my perspective enchanting is not a gathering class just because you can disenchant things and its not like you can max out the profession from disenchanting only so… it makes 0 sense for real. someone explain this flawed logic to me.

So, it’s more of a lore thing. The Artisan Consortium “controls” crafting orders, so quests relating to crafting orders go through their representative. It was explained a bit in the DF quests. (Although they cheekily said something like “who knows?” when it came to explaining how orders got delivered to your crafting table )

In DF these quests were also related to renown with the Artisans Consortium. Maybe they were going to put a similar thing in TWW and changed their minds?

It’s possible they did it this to make sure you noticed the Artisan Consortium vendor who sells recipes, mats, and KP for Acuity.

In comparison gathering quests and disenchanting quests do not involve crafting orders, so the trainer can offer them to you.

Obviously they can make these quests go on the trainers. But yeah I feel you! Definitely forgot to pick up the quest a time or two lol. Gotta tell the Consortium to delegate a lil.
