Weekly Catalyst Charges - Concerning Lack of Communication

This is an obscene workaround/grind to expect players to do, when a weekly catalyst charge would address the issue entirely. You know, a weekly catalyst charge, how it worked during DF.

I’d also love to hear the reasoning why a weekly catalyst charge granted halfway through the season would be a bad thing. Go ahead, I’ll wait.

did i say its bad

im offering you solutions and you’re attacking me. if they dont do it you’ll be mad. if you have solutions you’re mad. like wth lol

So in other words, you have no idea, but tried to act like you did and you’re just here to be snippy with people. Got it.

You’re arguing that waiting 3 years or having to farm 18-39 individual items is a reasonable way to work around the broken system. I’m advocating to simply fix the system, using a fix in place that was used in prior seasons/expansions.

You’re “solution” is a non-solution, and you know it lol. There’s no reasonable reason why there isn’t a weekly catalyst charge this late into a season. A not well-received season, to boot.

the weekly catalyst charge was never a thing in season 1 of an expansion since the catalyst was a thing

what you are thinking is mandela effect. you think it happened but it didnt.

I have a complete idea. Blizzard announced week 1 catalyst with biweekly charges.

OP spent his charges under the guise that some unannounced change would eventually come.

So, who here really has no idea? lmao good try tho

You have zero clue if it’ll go to weekly charges or not. You just came in here to spout a theory condescendingly and get all snarky.

You have no real information of value to add to this thread. Moving on. Have a better day.

To top it all off, there’s no actual reason why a weekly catalyst charge this late in a season shouldn’t occur. Absolutely none. There’s a plethora of drawbacks to not change it, but absolutely no issues if it is changed to reflect the precedent set in prior seasons.

I came in here to comment on how dumb it is to blame blizzard for ones own mistake, essentially.

Your desperate attempt to take some high-ground on this is hilarious though

Wish it was unlimited for low ilev pieces. Like, I wanna collect heroic raid mog but can’t burn a charge on main until super late season.

Lemme cook a heroic piece for free because I already have a 639 piece.

It just depends on what Blizz wants to do with it. They may wait until a month before season 2 or they may decide not to do it at all, because transmog isn’t their main reason for the Catalyst. Who knows. :dracthyr_shrug:

Or, alternatively, just grant the lower tier recolors if you obtain one from a higher tier. Another actual solution.

That’d be ideal, yeah.

Another comment I saw that I also kind of liked is maybe don’t require a catalyst charge for non-tier pieces. Again, more solutions. But leaving it as-is is a problem IMO.

If they allowed no charge for non-set bonus pieces, people would be freely getting stat changes on their gear. That’s not going to happen.

The secondary stat changes would be so minor for player power, I don’t really see how it would make that big of a difference. I mean, we’re forced to burn charges on waist/cloak/wrist/boots to finish out the sets because not all of them drop from the raid to begin with, which also feels kinda bad.

No, those are pretty big changes. Especially the higher you go in content.

You’re using the Catalyst as a transmog mechanic. That’s not its primary function.

It may not be the primary function (assistance with obtaining 4p bonus to address bad luck with drops). But it is a function.

ilvl is temporary, mog is forever. The true endgame.

I get that, but expecting the system to primarily function for your transmog use isn’t going to happen. You have to consider its gameplay functionality and why things are the way they are.

I understand that, but there’s no reason why the system can’t easily address both. A weekly charge, simply put, would do just that.
