100% this. Don’t complain to Blizzard because you play with a bunch of try-hards that aren’t willing to bring a slightly subpar class. Gnomer is very easy and you can parse 99s without a perfect comp. You’re getting cucked because your playing with losers.
Go find a new group or guild? Genuine suggestion. This has happened to me before, found a new group and had fun.
Literally pug the raid every lockout no issues with whoever wants to come. No reason to sit there and not play because you’re in a guild with try hards that think parsing gnomer is something to be proud of.
Go find a fun guild and run it or pug it. Pretty sure we had a frost mage doing like 90dps this week and we still 1 shot everything

I would never bring a ranged hunter, that’s why I am playing melee. We like sub 1 hour clear times while keeping it casual.
If you’re being benched, it’s either because you’re bad, or your raid team is bad, it’s not because of your class. Unless your raid is 6 frost mages, 2 healer mages, and 2 warriors, you can clear Gnomeregan just fine
So once again, if there are 15 people signed up and you have a choice between a fire mage, a warlock, a ele shaman and a ranged hunter, who would you pick?

Join a non flavor of the month guild maybe? My guild rolls with the stranger specs half the time. We have ret palis, ranged hunters, rogue tanks, and many others and still complete the raids.

I have had zero problems getting into runs as a ranger hunter, usually do pretty decent and bring an AOE phys DPS buff so everyone else hits harder.
Can’t wait to see how things go with the new buffs. I prefer these minor tweaks rather than the big ones.
I couldn’t get into Gnomer groups as well. I get asked if I’m melee, once I say no they ignore me, or tell me they only need caster ranged dps. I unsubbed and became a forum lurker lol.
