  • Hero Talents

    • Hellcaller (Destruction/Affliction)

      • Hatefury Rituals now increases the damage of Wither by 30% (was 50%) and reduces its duration by 15% (was 25%).

        • Developer’s note: We are reducing the damage increase of Hatefury Rituals so that it is a competitive choice against Bleakheart Tactics rather than the correct choice.
      • Affliction

        • Wither periodic damage decreased by 20%.
    • Soul Harvester (Demonology/Affliction)

      • Your Demonic Soul now benefits from the following interactions:

        • Mastery: Master Demonologist
        • Shadowtouched
      • Soul Anathema is now affected by Mastery: Potent Afflictions and Mastery: Master Demonologist.

      • Demonology

        • Succulent Soul now increases the damage of Hand of Gul’dan by 60% (was 20%).
  • Destruction

    • Shadowburn damage increased by 80%.
    • Incinerate damage increased by 5%.
    • Soul Fire damage increased by 5%.
    • Channel Demonfire damage increased by 10%.
    • Summon Infernal damage increased by 10%.
    • Developer’s note: We’re increasing the throughput of Destruction after reviewing the performance of Warlock specializations from both internal and external data. In addition, we are considerably increasing the output of Shadowburn to bring it in line with other talent choices on the Destruction tree.

We all knew the Wither nerfs were coming.
I still think Wither will be a very strong DoT and Hell Caller will be the favorable Hero Power. The Soul Harvester change to work with mastery is nice but personally I’m wanting to run a Crit build in TWW just for funs.

Last I checked on Beta Wither was doing 3x as much damage as my full stack Agony without even being Acute, so if this makes it 2x that’s still great value for a DoT.

I was hoping so too its extreamly weak now compaired to what we had, heart broken to say the least this spec will probably be garbage again for another expansion

Early iterations of Wither were completely broken and had to be nerfed. What we have now is more balanced and still a very strong DoT.

We can’t say it now, at least we should wait for the release and see if it’s actually good or bad. From what I see it’s probably the best iteration in a long time.

Went to the extream it was over kill and was too harsh out of the gates. I have Warriors right now doing demolishes hitting at 1.6 - 2M dmg per 1 hit and a 18 sec Wither doing 6M (before any nurfs) could have been hit by 5 - 10% to drop it to 4 - 4.5M but they reduced the dmg by too much too fast

My wither + blackened went from 40% damage to 38% damage it is a very slight damage nerf, you now have a choice node in hell-caller which is nice.
