I am not a pet person in game, but i had to make a post about this Weechi pet you get from doing the trading post activities. You can customize the colors.
I just wanted to say 2 months ago my senior chihuahua boy died. But because this weechi pet is customizable, I was able to make it look just like my boy Jax, I even changed Weechi’s name to Jax
Now, my jax is immortalized in the game with me forever 
mwahhaha I love it. I wish I could post a picture here of Weechi vs Jax So you all could see how similar they look.

I am all for more customizable pets! it would actually make me interested in collecting pets if we really could change their colors and stuff. I dont do battle pets- but I love having a little jax chasing me around in game
The only thing it lacks is the same convenience as the customisable Dredger pet in that you can’t just talk to it to change its outfits.

I hope we get Malluties and Yorkies.
We had a chihuahua named Buddy that was technically my dad’s, but my dad died in 2001, then Buddy got hit by an amish buggy and died in 2010. I am very happy to have the little dude paired with the hunter based on my dad now.
I hope we get more little realistic dog pets someday, especially if we can customize them.
