They just revealed it today. In WoW bnet launcher scroll a bit just past the maintenance text, there is an ad for Call of Duty Cold War that says “Zombie Reveal 9.30” I believe that is when wow’s pre-patch will come out. on Wednesday, the same day that Cold War multiplayer hits. Seems like a blatent “hint” to me. what do you all think?

Yep they would! Since CoD is a “Partner game”, yes they can and will. I don’t play CoD and probably a lot of WoW players don’t either.
Why would Blizzard “hint” at a pre-patch rather than just announce it and get the “hype-train” rolling? People are desperate to move on from BfA.
I’m not necessarily trying to say you’re wrong. And, I think there is certainly some “behind the curtains” stuff going on that is currently keeping Blizzards’ hands tied.

It’s just an ad for another game. Tomorrow’s maintenance is only an hour long. Almost zero chance the pre-patch will drop then.

To those that know how Blizz operates… yep! 
Your guessing here. I play COD, my son plays COD, half his guild plays COD. My wife plays COD. I would imagine that the majority of the PVP base plays or played COD. It could happen but I would not bet the farm on it and the only way i would bet money that we will see the pre event on Wed. is if it was someone else’s money.
I wouldn’t shoot games either, seems like a waste to me!
