This has been part of the downfall of the monk community. In the past - the monk community was easily the best in the game. You could go into discord and it was positive, everyone seemed to support each other, and despite the fact that there is obviously an optimal build you didn’t get crucified for wanting the play something a little outside the norm.
In the last 6 months to a year the tone has changed. Seems to be a lot of people who have gotten too big for their britches and call you names or shoot any ideas down that are not the exact way they want you to Play the game. The sad part is that a lot of the big names who have started doing this are the same ones who in the past were so great. It’s like they’ve gotten jaded / become more elitist. It’s still a solid community but nothing like it used to be.
