Weather Still broken in macOS WoW client

Since 11.0.0, any new weather effects added in The war within have been non functional on mac

what does non functional mean? It means not visible. For example mac users will quickly notice that on Siren island. the “storm” phase is just cloudy. While on windows it’s a windy rainy storm. This is immersion breaking. I ignored the bug mostly on khaz algar where it’s also broken when rain starts (we don’t see the rain just the clouds again). but it’s harder to ignore this bug on Siren Island.

It’d be nice to see it fixed. Weather still works in older zones using older weather tech. so it seems very specific to newer weather tech only.

Update: turns out it’s not broken, just written to be a cpu hogging compute effects is what’s used for it. Not sure I think that’s best use of compute effects but at least it’s not broken. besides being unclear that if compute is disabled, weather is disabled

In short, setting compute to low at least restores weather and hopefully without too much frame drops from volume fog
