Weather / Night Time

In keeping with authenticity ... will it go back to the night time and weather stuff it used to have? As well as certain rares (remember a ghoul in Westfall) that only pop up at night time. Please tell me this will be back.

Please tell me you'll add it to BFA too lol
Agreed, if nights aren't like vanilla I ain't playing. It's not classic if it's light all the time.
Oh I hope so! I used to have a screenshot of a full moon over Barrens. I lost it when the hard drive cooked. I would really love to take that shot again.
Did it go to night time in the demo? I haven't had a chance to get on there at night yet.

I was playing at 9 pm last night and it stayed daytime.

That being said, it would be a giant miss for Blizzard to mess this up on launch.

It shifted to night later. Took awhile, though.
Yea server was pacific time.
If I don't see the sun rising and falling on the same side of the sky it just won't be vanilla wow.
Classic is not vanilla!

The lack of weather and night time is really bad in this game. Takes away the immersive feeling quite a bit.
There's virtually no difference between Modern WoW nights and Vanilla WoW nights. If you want Classic to be significantly darker than BfA, then you're asking for a change.

The nights are like Vanilla already in the demo client.

Uh, no they aren’t, Played until 10 pm pacific time last night. It went from daytime to a pre sunset day, sort of like the daytime in MoP. That is not even close to how it was in the original game.

Edit: have no idea about private servers though since vanilla can mean a lot of things.

Umm, unless I’m misunderstanding you, that’s totally false. Did you play in Vanilla? I did. The nights were considerably darker then than they are in current WoW. There’s no comparison.

I agree. I want to see rain in Feralas and sandstorms in Tanaris. Small, but extremely memorable and made for great immersion.

Alright, I guess I'll be posting this over and over again to people that don't actually take their time to do their own research:

The nights are NOT considerably darker in Vanilla than they are on current WoW.

Actually there was an earlier thread about this inky black in BFA in this forum not too long ago.

The inky black potion is an item that can only be purchased at Darkmoon Faire and the effect is only for a couple of hours. There were reports that the inky black potion resulted in slightly darker nights than the original game.

However without the inky black potion, the original game had much darker nights and this was every night, not a potion effect.

Potion temporary effects do not equate to an overall game unaffected by potions.

Uhhhh, what? Did you not look at the screenshots I posted? The Inky Black Potion makes the game significantly darker than it was in Vanilla. BfA without the potion is as dark as Vanilla in nearly every zone, some are slightly brighter and some are even slightly darker.
