So for years this has been my OOC forum posting character. When I’m not on the forums, my ethos has always been to stay IC on all my alts as much as humanly possible. This extends even to my bank alt; a mechagnome parody of the crass 45th president of the United States. I get that there are probably some people who report anything they don’t like, but how is the name Donalddump (very mecha-gnomey btw) a violation of the ToS or CoC? All my character names (like 40 or more) are silly AF. Am I going to have to give up gimmick RP?

The actual content that was reported doesn’t matter, but how many people reported it in the current Blizzard report system.

Yeah, any kind of name that’s celebrity or a parody of one can end up being reported. You’d probably have better luck if you change the name and just use TRP to parody, but not as blatantly.

Blizzard naming rules, they would have done the same thing if you named your character Joebiden, Kamalaharris, Georgebush, etc. Names that are references to real people aren’t accepted.
You can post that in the CS forums if you want more information on the naming guidelines.

Names like that can stick around for awhile though. Until someone gets their knickers in a twist and reports it. I will admit to reporting at least two names. But that was long ago, and they were very vulgar. Not stupid kid trying to funny vulgar - gross, demeaning vulgar. Celebrities and politicans… piffle I don’t care.
