Weaponswingtimer worked great until I got a new computer and tried to redownload the addons. Haven’t found a weak aura with all the same functionality (no enemy cast bars) Anyone know how I would go about getting one of these swing timers to work? Need one that does single weapon, or dual wield, and enemy swing timer.

Look up “WeaponSwingTimer SixxFix”
It’s a modified version of the original that has been working for me for awhile. Unless that one broke super recently.

The SixxFixx version of WeaponSwingTimer is no longer maintained, has not been updated for a year now. Been going through my addon list getting rid of abandoned ones. I’ve even asked my browser’s AI about them, part of the answer given is “Blizzard has made changes to the game’s API that can break older add-ons.” I’m looking for a replacement, too. But if I can’t find one, no big deal, I’ll move on. I know one thing now, my BugGrabber will holler a lot less now.
Maybe its time to get back into building addons… I have a few I would like to build / rebuild now but its a headache to keep everything up to date now days because blizzard keeps flagrantly changing the API rules.
I would like them to just cut the API use down so that automation is literally impossible and the only thing that addons can do is display already displayed UI information (not combat log sniffing) in a better use case; similar to what Tidy plats basically does natively.
As for weapon swing timers, not sure if that should be allowed because it really would be better if things of that nature are a skill the player must develop instead of a machine telling them when to execute abilities. I say that because as we allow machines to tell us what to do, we depart from being gamers and turn into bots ourselves.
Take away all addons and 95% of the population of the player base here on Classic MoP / Era / Retail all flub and their “skill” expression in game is greatly reduced showing how great they’re not.
I discovered how true this was in Legion 7.3 when botting was basically broken for a few weeks… I went from “my god everyone is good now days” and really needing to play super clean to win to “killing kittens with axes”
If something like this were to happen, then it would be important to talk with WCL and Raider IO to void all existing logs so that new logs could be made based on actual personal skills.
