For me, there are two. The Tyrannical Beheader from Scourgelorde Tyrannus. And Shadowmourne. The Tyrannical Beheader was the first weapon that I learned the name of and actively went after. And Shadowmourne just had an amazing questline that I will never forget, as well as a Crimson Deathcharger as a free congratulatory mount for completing the questline.
Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker
The Undeath Carrier was the first staff that I used religiously in transmog.
Then Dragonwrath, Tarecgosaâs Rest because I was the chosen one.
DID SOMEONE SAY THUNDERFURY?!?!?
For me it was definitely shadowmourne, filling it with souls only to have the lich king whisper to you as you did so was great, plus itâs literally the closest looking thing to frostmourne I got my hands on. (Still looks better than the blades of the fallen prince)
Taran Icebreaker. Was my first epic way back in vanilla, and I remember after getting it I spent days upon days grinding wolves on that little island off the coast of feralas, autoattacking in caster form and spamming moonfire, because weapon procs didnt work in cat form and it felt, at the time, like that fireball proc was doing a lot of damage. Looking back, I probably wouldâve done better with any other weapon and just sticking in cat form.
Warden Staff. My second epic weapon and one I continued to use at level 60 even though it was like a level 40 weapon from scarlet monastery. It was best in slot for rest-feral druid pvp, since the armor bonus it used to have was multiplied in bear form and felt like it made you unkillable vs melee.
And lastly the Whirlwind Axe. Got it on an orc warrior, with help from guildies, at level 30, and took it into the 21-30 warsong gulch bracket (back before they changed it to 20-29 instead, 30 was the lowest you could get the whirlwind axe quest). It was basically a level 40 blue weapon that you could get 10 levels early if you had help.
The first match I took it into, I grabbed the enemy flag while separated from the rest of my team. I proceeded to be attacked by 9 of the 10 alliance players with nobody to help me out. Popped retaliation and turned every one of those 9 people into a corpse⌠then the 10th, a level 30 night elf rogue, backstabbed me for the kill and grabbed their flag back. Still, 1 vs 9 was pretty dang impressive and was probably one of my best pvp moments ever.
âThe shovel of mercy,â. The revamp of hillsbrad foothills had some very unique quests and this shovel was the reward for one of them.
Edit:
Desecrated image of gorehowl; best talking weapon ever
uroe as well. something about âthunderâ is just mwah, perfect.
Too many cool looking weapons to list, I could go on - But my favorite weapon is probably Calamityâs Grasp. Dual wield of them was badass at one point
For those not familiar itâs a fist weapon and on the weapon thereâs a spinning 4 bladed blade
Xalâatath would beg to differ. She goes by two names, Knaifu, and Bae Blade for a reason XD
Thekalâs and Arlokkâs grasp from ZG⌠to this day they live in my bank. Rocked those homies as a fury warrior and always felt like a champ when that proc would go off turning me into tony the murdering tiger.
Edit: spelling
Gurthalak, Voice of the Deeps, because we had DW on farm and over the course of two months, it never dropped for me.
Gurthalak, Voice of the Deeps
Why? Idk, I didnât even play classes that used Strength weapons.
Demise from Heigan the Unclean in Naxxramas, first raid weapon I ever got in the game playing a DK in WOTLK.
Back when Blood DK was a DPS spec.
Getiâikku, Cut of GG.
the first Heroic mode weapons I ever obtained were Suen-Wo, Spire of the Falling Sun, and Gaze of Arrogance, back in MoP. Bonus points currently to Azuresong Mageblade since being a warlock with one in classic is basically clout city
Dalârend (MH).
I still remember when I got it in vanilla all those years ago. uwu
Ashkandi because we used to call it something else.
Donât look at me that way.
Almost forgot⌠the Wolfslayerâs Sniper Rifle. That was my white whale.
Hammer of the Naaru and Exodar Life Staff for me. Love crystal weapon aesthetic.
Also, Phantom Blade. When I first started playing I saw it and thought it was so cool it sheathed on the players back.
Veriganâs Fist! My old human pally still has it in the bank. And the Holy Mightstone! I never found the right time to use it.
Fandralâs Flamescythe. Turned you into a druid of the flame in cat form during combat. I was one of the first, if not the first, druid on my server to get it at the time. Since I was resto it caused much salt, but since I was the only druid in the guild at the time I got all loot by default. Good times.
Edit to say this staff still works if you equip it, but it does NOT work for TRANSMOG!
PLEASE! make this work for transmog like legion forms!!!
