Reckoning is mentioned by thesame player in 1.12.2 who wrote the autoattack comment 1 year before the weapon swap comment. (So the weapon swap comment is most recent)

Every crit you received charged you up with “reckoning attack”, up to a maximum of 4. So you could heal yourself while wearing 1h+shield and then switch to a 2h weapon and get 4-5 swings at once.
Conclusion: He specifically says in his comment you can swap and get a full stack. His 1.12.2 pre 2.0.1 patch video is also after the Blue Trackers 1.10 patch
Reckoning bomb should only be removed from turning auto attacking on and off. Not weapon swapping out of combat.
I just want them to fix this so bad. I can not believe they still think they are right when ghost crawler literally told them they were wrong. The same bugs around before todays patch didnt do anything switching targets still removes stacks, mounting up removes stacks and also breathing removes stacks.
Right here… a rogue jumps him… he targets the rogue… then he targets the priest… reck stacks dont drop off of him. He unleashes the stacks on the priest that was proc’d from the rogue.
Blizzard has effectively ruined paladins and wasted all the time they put into their characters after running around toting #nochanges. Now myself and many others are stuck with characters that are broken and virtually unplayable at the launch of BGs unless you enjoy being an auto attack andy.
This is wrong and needs addressed immediately. We do not deserve to be neutered because they implemented a trinket and auto attacks poorly.

Why because you think you need to abuse a cheese mechanic that is working properly as it did in 1.12.x as confirmed numerous times by paladins who actually played vanilla. As in prior R14s from vanilla that are documented, top raiders from vanilla, and guides. In fact they have commented here several times telling you how wrong you guys are and you guys attacked them because it’s not your fancy private server abuse reckoning.
Please use this forum for properly reporting bugs, not complaining constantly about how you want a broken private mechanic to make yourself feel slightly better about picking a hybrid class in classic.
That comment states weapon swaps dont remove reckoning and it came after the bluetracker. Only taking off auto attack should remove it. Evidence beats no evidence. You have none so please use the bug tracker properly.
The blue post is ALSO a written wording.
MajorMayhemXs comment is also after the blue post date. MajorMayhemXs 2nd comment about auto attack matches the blue post word for word.
There are two facets of this skill though and stacking which for the most part works and the instant attack when you have auto on that no one seems to talk about. The auto on instant attack is the part that is more broken. For instance if I am getting hit in rapid succession by a fury warrior and get crit 3 plus times I do not get 3 hits, sometimes I don’t even get any. I have a feeling the batching mechanism is causing this to not work but that is just a hunch.
The reason for this is because it’s resetting your swing timer. Depending on when during your swing timer you are crit, one of two things will happen:
(1): your swing timer will complete and you will you strike instantly. This is what happens when you get only a single hit but multiple crits in short succession
(2): rather than instantly resetting your swing timer, you get a reckoning charge. On your next auto, you will now swing twice (or however many times you were crit within this window).
Best practice is to leave your auto off until your swing timer is off cool-down to avoid this.
Secondly, afaik, weapon swapping always dropped stacks. However, target swapping did not.
Even if it resets and you get your swing, even if it’s a millisecond increase you should get another swing or a charges gained on the swing. Like I said I have a feeling it’s because of batching.
This is completely false. I remember dueling rogues outside Ironforge with sword and board and switching to a two hander to pwn them during vanilla.
people always use Baconn’s pinned Reckoning guide circa patch 1.10 as the defacto word of God as to how the talent worked, but we traded posts on the forums 2 years ago and even he admitted his guide wasn’t 100% correct as the talent changed over time and he stopped updating it
I just find that extremely difficult to believe. Unless you managed to batch the actual weapon swapping itself, that’s the only way I could see that even being possible.
Na, just have your auto attack off, get crit, use weapon swap macro, and bam. If your auto was on you could still get the bomb but if the target was out of range or behind you, you would drop it.
Same thing with the sitting during combat to get stacks, that was in vanilla but somehow the #nochanges only applies when its a nerf to paladins. I’m still waiting for them to fix the shammy triple shocks. It’s only supposed to be 2 but they enjoy it and say oh you could do that in vanilla. Nope, I did the GM grind in vanilla and they could not do that.
More like none of you understand private servers were wrong and you complain because you think it should be one way and it isnt.
Btw Theloras I am still waiting on those logs you promised you had. You told me what logs where and I am still waiting for a single log to be posted. I mean I could just use your BWL logs and aggravate them up to average numbers.
