Are learned below their level requirement as its not attached for some reason.
Training for each weapon skill requires level 10 and costs 10 silver, with the exception of polearms, which costs 1 gold and requires level 20 .

Training in a new weapon costs a mere 10 silver and can be done at L evel One for any class ; however, to learn to use polearms you must be L evel 20 and have one gold to spare .

I seem to remember that all but pole arms were available right away for 10s.
I mean i remember it being level 10 before that, I just thought it was tbc they changed it to level 1 for the two new races. Guess I was just wrong is all.
According to wowpedia - last updated in 2017: “All weapon skills could be learned at level 1 and cost 10s, except for Polearms which required level 20 and cost 1g”
Going back through its history, back in 2005 it also mentions the same exact information: Level 1 at 10s, Level 20 at 1g for Polearms.
