Weapon restriction for casters

Let me cut to the chase, why can't I transmog my dagger to a sword? I'm a caster and when do I ever use my weapon animation? Never. So why am I not allowed to transmog my staff to an offhand and a main hand or wand to a staff? It makes zero sense why this is still an obstacle I have to try to avoid. It's already hard enough for most casters to get a upgrade of their weapon and for it to be a weapon type they find appealing.

Enough of the rant though, do I have a solution? Actually yes and it's a pretty easy fix. First off remove the wand cast animation, nobody uses it besides people pretending they are playing classic. Blizzard has the technology to be able to switch the weapon type since artifact transmogging is kinda a thing so theres literally no excuse for this still being in the game.

Yep,
So limited w/ swords loot and most are not viable. Reason some of us take a hit on 1h+off since it's inferior to 2H b/c of the look.

Blizz kept giving dagger and wand... at least let us xmog dagger to wand or sword. Been like this since MoP annoying.
I think staves and polearms should be interchangeable like swords and axes. I like to use scythes for my shadow priest and warlock, but some count as staves and others count as polearms which limits my options even though they're all basically the same thing.
IF druids can do pole arms to staves. Why can’t we do Wands to one handed swords.
i feel like casters should have Weapon animations like every other RPG on the planet that uses them

Druids can use both staffs and polearms, and both share the same build model wise so it makes transmoging simple and it makes sense. I'm not sure wether or not a warlock or a priest can equip swords (haven't played mine in ages) but model wise daggers are shorter so it makes it a little more difficult animation wise.
