Needing some advice. I had been using the 411 Heroic Kharnalex staff with sophic devotion 3 on it and this week in the vault I got a 428 Ancestral Stoneshaper staff and put sophic devotion 3 on it as well. I used raidbots to sim them and it says that the 428 only beats the 411 as long as I put an enchant on it…but so far it feels very lack luster and cant tell that im doing any better then I was with the 411. Any thoughts if I should keep the 428 or should I go back to the 411? Thanks
428 is strictly better in aoe, and probably about the same in single target
So keep both and use the 428 for AoE and the 411 for single target? I loved the 411 cause of the use effect…300k over a couple seconds is rather nice.
I would just ditch the 411 outside of niche cases in open world where you’re using it to just one shot stuff

Feeling part honestly the on-use was terribly cumbersome outside of you opener…even then. I for one am glad I can ditch it
Yeah there shouldn’t really be a situation where a 428 is behind, even in single target. 421 weaps slightly lost out to the staff, but at that point you could just weapon swap to use it (which you can no longer do).
It’s likely just that it feels worse not having the gratification of the nuke, but your dps should be simming higher in all cases with a 428 and like battlecruisr said, the second that second target is in play it’s not even close.
