Using the Wailing caverns quest staff “Crescent Staff”, 7stamin 7Intellect and 7 Spirit.
What should I replace that with? A 2hander with 9+ Strength or more?
Seems like that staff is good for a long time trying to figure out when to replace it.

Obviously a bit inconvenient for horde, but Smite’s hammer from Deadmines is quite good. It would last until Manual Crowd Pummeler from Gnomeregan, which itself will last a long while.
Basically, you want STR/AGI/STA.
I have a 2hander with 9 str right now so that would be better than WC staff?

If you’re DPSing, the 9 STR is better. If you’re tanking, the 9 STR will be better if you need more threat, while the WC staff will be slightly better if you need more survivability.
What level are you currently? Forums avatars tend to be outdated unless you keep logging…
23 currently. There’s nothing better in the AH over the 9str 2 hander I have to choose from atm. Druids cant use polearms right?
Also do you have to level up your weapon skill?
It doesn’t affect you in cat/bear for right? Seems like when I don’t level them I miss a freaking ton in cat form.
Druids can use polearms. You don’t have to level weapon skill unless you plan to melee in caster form.
Your BiS as a bear is Warden Staff, a BoE epic - with Manual Crowd Pummeler as a threat consumable. As Feral MCP is your BiS forever, but if you don’t want to farm Gnomer forever (and aren’t looking to be hardcore), you can use Agility/Strength weapons. They’re pure stat sticks.

It is looking like this is a bug.
My attack power is definitely changing as I level maces in and out of bear form and I am doing more damage with it leveled up now.
Yea people are clearing MC at lvl 58 in greens theres no way im farming forever for MCP. The patch we are in right now it is not needed.
Druids can not use polearms in vanilla unfortunately.

The weapon you have is fine. At 29ish try to run gnomeragon for an MCP. The +str is insane! Something me mentioned The warden staff. It is great for tanking, but while leveling I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy one. It’s level 40’something anyways…
Weapon skill should not matter in forms. When you shapeshift you are always at 100% of your weaponskill.
Only the stats matter on the staff, not the DPS.

No. Druids in their forms use the hidden “Feral Combat” weapon skill, which is always calculated at max value for your level.
Purely coincidence. Cat Form attacks far more frequently, and even attacking equal level mobs has a moderate chance to miss.
I wouldn’t worry too much about Stamina early on. STR/AGI is much more valuable, STR even more so. Killing mobs faster will not only help your group but yourself at making it easier to get aggro.
If I were you I’d run Deadmines for Smite’s 2H hammer.

When you get towards 60 look for a Fist of Oomok as a decent weapon for feral stuff. Warden’s Staff is a level 47 epic world drop that really can’t be beat by anything till AQ20 for tanking. Then the AQ20 mace is the sweet spot.
Hi Boomer I been A feral Druid Since 2004! You can say i know a thing or 2. Right now in classic Feral Druids are on top of the food chain! In classic I can 1 shot 2 shot kill mages, warlocks, cloths switch to bear and kill rogues, warriors and hunters. The Stats here in classic affect you differently than Battle for azeroth. I recommend that you try to get strength for your cat right now so that you can kills NPCs faster and you level fast as well. Strenght, Agility, and stamina as a feral are the stats you need with agility being the most important. Agility here only helps you to dodge, Critical, and some attack power but its mostly good for bear, LOL in classic agility is for tanking in bear (for Lion Strenght adds alot of Damage in lion) in bear very little. So your going have to balance between agility and Strenght . Agility and Strenght potions help alot!
