I think it’d be cool if classes were able to…use multiple weapon types, I guess. Warriors right now are able to handle bows and guns, but aren’t able to use them in tangent with their abilities. Rogues and casters should be able to use small shields, and I think it’d be neat if melee classes could…also use ranged weapons in general.
I’m not sure much would have to be done - hunters have a LOT of animations for their bows, ad different classes could have the effect colors changed to reflect them…I think that archetypal weapons should still be preferred, to an extent - having a polearm mastery for a survival hunter for instance - but if you want to be a warrior with a bow - you could do that without it being a handicap. A rogue with a gun? Why not? A healer with a hammer and shield? Lovely! A healer with a gun?
Maybe not.
