The world first is just 99% weakauras. it’s boring, it doesnt require any skill. it’s a massive crutch for 20 raid memebers to be told exactly what to do and when by a computer. it’s not fun to watch.

Game would probably be a lot easier too and raiding content would be more accessible. Imagine not getting invited to a raid because you don’t run WA.
I had to download DBM a few expacs ago because I wouldn’t be taken without it.

Life is too short to worry about how other people play. If you don’t want to use addons like Weakauras, well by all means don’t! If someone does, that’s their prerogative!
Just focus on you. Life is a lot better that way!

Eh. I liken it to reading a guide or watching a video.
Addons like DBM and WA are certainly powerful tools for PvE content, for certain! However, I’m not going to completely delegitimize someone’s accomplishments because of an addon.
I don’t use any such addons, really only thing I use is the Adventure Guide which has been more than enough for me so far! However, I think it’s fine if people for whatever reason want to have an easier time in their instances.

I think you may be underestimating how much legwork WA does for people who have chosen to use it. Many fights really do have groups demanding you have it, like the Among Us phase in Shadowlands. There are a lot of examples since people realized how much they could do with it, though.
General consensus is that the blase take on add-ons and WA in particular have harmed the game’s health in some way. The issue is that this is already part of WoW’s identity. There’s no going back without extreme risk.

I use weakauras to give me a bar timer for community feast and dragonbane invasion. Very handy.

Ion admitted in an interview with Asmongold that they tune raid difficulty around combat addons like weakauras, so now everyone is forced to use them if they want to be competitive in raids or even join a higher raid entirely. The biggest issue with WoW is all their addons like weakauras, raider io, DPS meters, etc. that have made this game very elitist and has barred entry to end game content from the average player.
