That works too, but we need to roll back characters from cata classic since they forced to move them into a bad iteration of the game that was DOA. They didn’t even have the politeness to ask us whether we wanted to move to garbage cata or not, disgusting behaviour if you ask me.
i wouldnt be opposed to a roll back, but they would need to limit gold coming in. i really just dont think they snap shotted our characters from then tbh though. if they just promise tbc era and wrath era right now with the option to clone to each expac im going to be sooooo happy
Yes I agree the gold should be limited if there’s a rollback, although I could live with having 0 gold transfer as long as we can keep our characters with the same gear, mounts, achievements and profession skill+recipes
Id rather level from 1-70/80 than have characters simply roll back into fresh servers.
The journey is worth it to me, and thats how MMORPGs are supposed to be played, not to be at end game like retail asap but to make friends and play alongside new faces along the way to the top etc.
beside4s NEVER in the history of WoW has a server started on a blank slate with TBC/Wrath from lvl 1. As every Version of TBC/Wrath already had been preceded by Vanilla content and characters. That alone sounds more fun to me personally.

Wrong, we care about TBC. You want WOTLK, I want TBC. They both deserve Era servers even though I have zero interest in WOTLK.
Blizzard needs to stand by what they said about caring about the “diverse needs of players”… because only giving people vanilla Era does not back up this claim.
I already Did everything you said about the journey when I leveled from 1 to 80 in WOTLK classic,made friends etc/whatever cringe thing you wanna tell me what wow is about, yes /check been here done that. so I’d say I have earned the right to have my DK rolled back to WOTLK and stay there.
3.3.5 Of course, best patch ever for both PvP and PvE. screw naxxramas. Honorable mention could be Ulduar patch but best is 3.3.5
Fine TBC has it’s niche population, respectable, but we can all agree more vanilla for the sake of vanila is just dumb.

Tbh each classic version. Vanilla, TBC and Wrath should have their own permanent servers with rolling restarts.
It is dumb unless they clarify that these are intended to be TBC Era servers and the vanilla bit is just time gating so people aren’t in Shattrath one day after release.

like literally 90% of the population from WOTLK classic went back to the largest private WOTLK sever, cata was, is and will continue to be dead and irrelevant for everyone, the lifespan of a cata realm is zero. There’s a reason why the largest private servers alive to date have been Vanilla, WOTLK and TBC, instead of cata and modern wow
