Whether the majority want RDF isn’t even part of the discussion. That’s just a straight up fact. Every poll indicates it…by a long shot. The likes on the forum make it clear. And just plain common sense. Who wouldn’t want to have better access to dungeon content, run more dungeons, meet more people, make the leveling experience more dynamic and less restrictive? Who wouldn’t want an option that lets them work on other things while queued? Frees them up to traverse the entire world doing whatever they want while they wait?
Trolls and toxic, elitist gatekeepers are the only people happy about its removal. Why is anyone else against it? Because they like making their own dungeon groups? They can still do that with RDF in the game. Never have to group with a stranger. Can manually form every single dungeon group with whomever they want. RDF allows that and the devs way back then said that was by design….to accommodate all types of groups. So that’s not a valid reason.
So, with all that said…it doesn’t matter the vast majority want RDF. It doesn’t matter it’s authentic Wrath. It doesn’t matter it improves the long-term health of the game and will make rolling alts easier, and attract new players to the game.
What matters is the Classic team are too lazy and incompetent to get it to work. What matters is they think they can do better than the actual Wrath devs and they feel the need to leave their mark on the expansion. Gotta pad that resume with something. It’s their arrogance and egos. The typical Blizzard, ‘You will play how we tell you to play!’ attitude that sunk the game the first time.
So that’s where we’re at. You can argue with anti-rdf trolls all day (which can be a fun diversion), but they’re just a symptom. The disease resides in Irvine.
willing to bet money i could vote on that poll using a proxy server and spending 10$ for bot accounts to swing that poll in my favor. you probs think that the 1 million twitter / youtube follows people have are real people too. /facepalm
People who dont want RDF dont even play the game. LFG tool is pretty much worthless right now. Even on Benediction. At level 42 it is impossible to find dungeon groups. People just dont use the feature.
Was on LFG tool yesterday on my lock all day, nothing, nobody, ON BENECITION FOR GOODNESS SAKE.
Why don’t people want RDF if everyone is already max level, with this in mind 1-79 RDF wouldn’t affect many people… Even more of a reason to implement it.
No evidence that it didn’t have an impact on increase subs, either. However, better access to dungeons and leveling alts is certainly a case for it did help the increase subs.
Gatekeeping and misery loves company. Just listen to underlying selfishness of keeping people out of content and telling them to leave the game. All we wsntis the original feature, back.
There’s also a healthy dose of OCD control freakishness. Like how dare people use an optional feature to play a video game in the way they enjoy instead of the way they have arbitrarily decided is the right way to play and then try to act morally superior about that.
Hmm lets see, before the joyous journey buff i had 2 80s a lvl 71, a lvl 68, a lvl 65, and a lvl 8. I havent been able to play much recently due to holidays+ working on my house, but let me check the math. Yep, i play the game and dont want rdf.
Because a lot of us like alts. I am leveling to 70’s now, on jj. It was the only reason i resubbed another month. If rdf was in the game, i would even consider unsubbing. I got a 59, 3 on the 40’S and a bunch of fresh. Just itching to level.
I still need gold, farm for mats etc. I would be out in the world on them while using rdf. Just like the old days. Don’t underestimate how many people are like me. No telling how many subs they lost out on, over rdf. As they never subbed.
Great so you agree RDF does not prevent or in any stop people from being out in the world. So we can drop that as one of the lies about a problem of RDF.
Sweet. He probably has more time to than most to play, something that is always ignored. Of course someone my ignore list is the 1st reply…thinking their experiences is the same for everyone.
