Legion templates were awful. Some classes or specs got exactly the stats they needed and were god the entire expansion. Others got none of what they needed and were trash. And blizz abandoned it rather than do a balancing pass.
How to make templates work:
- Give a default stat template designed for each spec.
- Provide a Template Setup panel where a player could prioritize their stats for each spec they play in that class. In addition, make this available in the starting area of every bg.
Three brackets:
- Full premades, the equivalent of RBGs currently.
- Partial premades, where the system would attempt to match premades, and well-geared solo players could choose to fill in for improved rewards.
- Solo queue only.
All players would be matched by rating. All players would earn rating. No more high rating groups getting noobs.
