In general, yes. But when I reference a coarsening of the culture, and the invasion of lames, that is exactly what I’m referring to. It’s better to have a battlefield with dynamic characters that are also actually capable in high rated pvp, rather than an army of drones that are indistinguishable from the next inexperienced rat. The era of Zerg guilds was annoying but definitely didn’t kill ED.

I will say, you will have a hard time convincing new people to engage in wpvp and turning on warmode when the most casual of people when the name of the game is stat inflation through repetative item level gear grinding and becomes less about skill and more about having the latest patch top gear.

Yes, if people are on a wpvp realm there is the drive to have up to date gear. But when its optional? The game becomes casual and casual will cause players new and old to fall into stagnation because gear grinding is pointless.

There is no point to gear if its just to kill one other person. If it was based purely on skill and power rotations then any newbie would join in the fray cause it would be fun to.

Current system of pvp is just for league of legends toxic community that has no meaningful gains.

Bounty board is fine when it can be implemented as a in game mechanic and dishonorable players dont have access to major faction safe havens and quests.

I think the loss of the World Defense channel is for sure one of the biggest things. I used to always respond to pings when I could in between queues or when just hanging around. And I used to love flying around and pinging random towns to get a response. Did they ever give us any remote reason for taking it out?
