We shouldn't need these herb changes

We definitely do need these changes now, but we shouldn’t.

If Blizzard had done anything about the gold sellers that play the game as their job (at the expense of the playerbase) and would actually ban the bots sitting under the world at every plaguebloom and lotus spawn location, then actual players would be able to compete for these, and other, in game resources.

This is a solution to a problem that Blizzard has created, due to egregious inaction in regards to their TOS. Some might even call it incompetence.

You guys are mixing like 3 different issues. Botters are one, inflation is another and supply/demand of herbs is another.

Botters will never be fixed until Blizz release their own kernel level anti-cheat and that will make a lot of people scream.

Inflation is inevitable in a game with instanced farming unless they drastically increase things like flight path or repair costs, which would also make people scream.

So lets fix herbs.

Ban all the bots and theres still 10x more raiders to lotus than we had in 2005 which is the problem. Every version of classic has bots, only this one has consume cost issues

Yeah the proof of that concept is the fact that unlike plants thorium and arcane crystals/blue sapphires are fairly stable, but these can be farmed in DM:E so supply follows the demand a lot more easily as there’s no technical limits to their spawn rate.
