We should be able to add glasses/eyewear to any hat transmog

You know how we can transmog shoulders separately? There should be an option for “Transmog eyewear separately”. Then it would show you just glasses as an option for this “slot”. Simple Glasses, Onyx Glare-Reducers, Historical Perspective Shifters, etc.

It could also include eyepatches, monocles, or blindfolds in this “slot”! Then we could have whatever hat on in addition to the eyewear.

It’s really sad having to choose between a hat and my glasses, which I think are a huge part of my character. And I love the new cowboy hats. I just think it’s about time we had this kind of transmog option in the game.

Palia did this by separating glasses, eyepatches, monocles and face coverings from hats into a separate outfit slot.

I’m not sure if WoW can do this, since they’re all labeled as head slots. Which does suck. :slightly_frowning_face:

Wait, you can do separate shoulders?
Also, I want a cosmetic eye patch that looks like the leather one that can be used with plate. Make it so that I can chose left or right eye.

Yeah, it sucks to have to go blind just to wear a crown.

I’ll piggyback on your idea and ask for a bit more

Eyewear should be their own slot.
And facemasks should be on another

And to be equipable at the same time!
lil example i made in 2min in photoshop:

I just want my glasses and a stogie clenched in my teeth.

Considering hats make our characters completely bald, I doubt Blizzard has the capability to make face wear a different thing from headgear.

Yes, please. Also…the ‘hair disappearing thing’ when you put a hat on.

Yep, there’s a box you can check to turn to it on when you go to mog shoulders, it’s left of the page arrows.

I haven’t paid attention to how they’re doing it, but FF14 also has eyewear and hats share the same slot, and apparently they’re putting in a system that will let players use both eyewear and headwear at the same time. Might need to look see at what they are doing, see if that can be implemented into WoW.

I think it’s going to take a lot of work to separate them for transmog, but not for item slots. I suspect that’s why the new tophat has both the hat and monocle.

Probably, yeah. Remember how long it took them to unspaghettify the code enough to add just 4 slots to the default backpack? Pretty sure they’re still too scared to go meddling with that again on case they break it.

Probably too much to hope for for them to make eyewear a separate mog thing. Heck, we should probably count our blessings we got individual shoulder transmog.

They created a separate thing called Fashion Accessories. They had to do some whacky programming magic and basically made certain things take the slot of a pet lol. Some of these older games have to do some crazy stuff just to get certain things to work.

A top hat and a monocle would be pretty slick. Except my monocle would be a magnifying glass and I would wear it over my empty eye socket. Then when people looked at me they’d get a 4K look at my eye empty socket.

Had a feeling it was that fashion accessory thing, but wasn’t certain, and definitely didn’t know it essentially took a pet slot. Never really used it, since it’s otherwise mostly been for parasols and wings, neither of which I’ve found a use for yet.

I think I heard something about them enabling fashion accessories in duties? That would probably make me more inclined to use them, if they were more permanent.

well…i guess that shows how much ive paid attention, lol. I didnt know it was there either

You can use certain types like back items and glasses in combat in the overworld but not in instances since you can’t use pets in instances lol.

They keep updating it though so we’ll see. Originally you couldn’t use anything in combat at all.
