I know that.
I simply think that SpaceX’s hype is way overblown. They’re 95% marketing and internet zombies, and 5% accomplishments.
1st company to start landing boosters for reuse has disrupted the space launch industry tremendously. Now even ULA and RocketLab are looking at reusability.

Yeah, that does nothing for launch capability. That’s all about saving SpaceX money, not about being able to launch more capacity, launch more reliably, or actually hit targets. SpaceX is lining THEIR pockets by saving money, and has convinced everyone that this is an amazing thing for everyone who’s not SpaceX.
It’s quite a marketing accomplishment, my hat’s off to them.
Nor are reusable boosters a new thing.
Yes. Look at how big a deal people make out of SpaceX re-discovering 1962 technology.

Actually, it’s tremendous for launch capability. You can launch more things into space with rapid turnarounds on your main stages or your boosters.

Those are tests lol. Also first liquid methane and lox engine to launch since people seem to think they use 1960 tech.

Yes, everyone understands they’re tests. You still don’t want the test to blow up. 
You always have failures in testing.

That way you find the problem before it kills a crew or destroys a payload.
