Vanilla was clearly unfinished with many zones having little to no quests and the gameplay being as barebones as you can get. It wasn’t until ten years later that they refined the gameplay and let those with a life enjoy the content. Even though they cut half the content, it felt much more complete than vanilla ever did. WoD didn’t make you spend a ridiculous amount of time to be viable, which is why it was great.

WoD was actually good if you played instead of sitting inside your garrison.
Challenge modes and Raids were all S or A tier.

Most people were omega casuals and didn’t raid, or want to group with anyone at all for that matter. That’s why they stayed in their garrisons. Plus, Blizzard killed PvP halfway through the expansion by adding PvP Templates.
But damn, the mythic raiding was great all the way through.

Most time spent in WoD was attempting to farm that coalfist Mount, which never appeared. lol

Bad expansion but BRF was pretty fun, Blackhand was an amazing fight.

Speaking of WoD, anyone else think that WoD was just a competing version of tBC that got shelved after Blizzard chose the tBC we all know. Someone found it up on a shelf, after they had run out of good ideas… you get the point.

Gladiator Stance was the best thing about WoD.
WoD was a strange time for enhancement shamans. They took away my Palpatine Stormblast and replace it with Windfart but they also gave me the most broken AoE in the game that got me a raid spot for some very fun encounters. I had a good time.
Ugh - the questing was so linear and easy. It was nothing but a plot-delivery device.
You mined the new training books for mining from ore nodes…
