We have it every month.
I’m up to 12k tendies, not complaining about the offerings though, I’m happy that I’ve got enough to grab anything I want that comes up now.

Rotating monthly rewards through all the different categories (mounts, pets, mogs, toys) is fine, as they want to appeal to everyone and not just have a mount every month.
Months where very little grabs your interest are fine, otherwise how would you save up for good months?
Personally, I don’t really care for mounts or pets but I know others do. If I always got mogs then mount collectors would be upset and if we only got mounts then I would be upset.
I get what OP is saying, his argument went off the rails asking for scarab etc.
The first 2-4 months were awesome monthly rewards (color changing mount/full cosmetic sets/arsenals) now we’re getting battle pets and small xmog items (watch/back pieces)… it appears they’re going down this road where eventually to get the “cool” items each month you’ll need to buy currency from the store or buy packs that contain additional currency. I’d love to see a way to get more tenders each month without shelling out real money.

Based on what? Nothing is so exorbitantly expensive that you’d have to do that vs. saving up. It would only be an issue if you’re trying to buy everything every month instead of waiting for things to come back around.
I just wanna point out you kinda proved OP right on his point. The whole “these items are prestigious” argument falls flat when you realize it can all be obtained with no hassle at all later on. It’s hypocritical to use the argument to bar people from certain rewards while doing the opposite for others. I’d personally love to see CM sets / weapons return as there is literally zero prestige to it and never will.
I also personally use my tenders on nothing now since I’ve finished the 500 mounts collection and mogwise nothing beats just rocking elite sets from prior xpacs

Based on the fact we’re getting sometimes 3x900 mounts. Or 4 arsenals of weapons for 400 each
Don’t get me wrong I don’t expect to be able to get everything. But in the past it felt like you could get a few mogs a mount, maybe a toy in addition to a cool monthly reward. Now it seems like the monthly reward is something you find at the bottom of a cereal box.

Yes actually, I got what I wanted, 2 new hood/cloak colors. The back shield is funny, I like it, then I went about my day yesterday after it took me around an entire HOUR to fill the bar to get my 1K tenders. The horror of playing the game and getting simple rewards.
I’d love to see them go the route where 1k earned gets the monthly, 5k earned gets additional 1k tendies (you don’t get 5k tendies, it’s more of a fill the bar type deal)
So basically an opportunity for those who wanna basically do everything or do 80% of the log will get an additional 1k tendies.
I think we should be able to get all the tendies from the log, not cao at the 1k. Of course then the compulsive crowd complains that they’re now forced to grind everything every month. So I guess there’s really no winning for blizz either way.
Stuff is definitely more expensive, but we’ve also had longer to save. (Very annoyed that this months hammers are all individual though)

It wasn’t all that long ago there was no trading post. I’m happy it’s there and I like about 30% of the items. Other people like it too. Most of the stuff I buy may not go well with what I have now, but it might go with stuff I get in the future.
Some months have stuff I really love. Some months just have things I sort of kind of maybe like. It’s all good. Every time I just pick a couple of things and move on.
Overall I love the trading post and I’m super glad they added it to the game! It really does motivate me to log on at the beginning of every month when I might otherwise not have so I’d say it’s working as intended.

It is so different for each different player; some love a pink bow on their cloak and others say, “no way”. This is what makes the Trading Post so great. I’m already done for the month because of the memory invasions; so easy to fill the bar. It is kind of like shopping at the Salvation Army stores, you never know what will be there from month to month, but you might find a treasure. Expecting all treasures would be … disturbing.

What is the bonus reward this month for collecting 500 (or is it 1k) tender?
The tiger is a horde mount and the wolf is an alliance mount. It’s a, the opposite faction captured and trained the animal, kind of thing.
You always get 500 for logging in with an active sub, complete activities to fill the Trading Post bar and you get another 500 for a total of 1k Tenders per month.

Yes, there are people with different tastes but low effort items are still low effort. There is a marked difference between animated weapons and transmog items, item sets, mounts and what we are getting now.
Regardless of theme the quality seems to be on a downward trend.

This is by design, they keep putting these garbage rewards that would cost 100-150 of the currency as the monthly reward while they keep adding mounts at 900 a pop or other expensive things like full sets etc…instead of having one of these expensive items be the reward because they will keep adding this currency to paid bundles etc…in the blizzard shop to encourage people to pay money for it.
The Trading Post is usually a nice +1 or +2 towards my mount achievement each month → Still about 170 off from my ghost otter friend
Just looks so weird, and I could see that as a possibility. I just don’t really like the tiger and while I like the wolf, I hate the purple-colored armor it wears.
